Wobble Wednesday is back with week 18 of your bass music fix. As always, there are selections from multiple genres that focus on the bassline, be it hard or soft. Some tunes to note are the grime video, new Simian Mobile Disco x Bicep collaboration, and a new sub-rocker from Widdler . The mixes this week are presented to get you amped for festival season. Most of the "festival mini-mixes" I see popping up on SoundCloud are either filled with trap or bigroom house. I've included a couple others to balance that [...]
Shadow Child and Tom Flynn are names synonymous with booming dance tracks. They've worked together in the past - the Phil Collins EP on Mark Fanciulli's Deleted imprint being their most notable release. This 2012 release showcased their ability to shape crisp percussion work with groovy basslines to construct dance floor missiles of sorts. Their remix for Kill Frenzy's "Errrybody" follows in similar order. The track's faint and eerie vocal flows in perfect harmony with the punchy and relentless drum work. The pairing of these underground forces proves to be a success once again. [...]
One of the hottest releases of the year came out on dirtybird this past week-the long awaited remix EP of Kill Frenzy & DJ Funk's now legendary track Make That Booty Clap . Just about every festivalgoer has probably heard the original sometime in the last year since its initial release on the Hatched series in early 2012, and this year, it's back again, this time with a whole set of fresh remixes by The Martin Brothers ( Justin Martin & Leroy Peppers ), Zombie Disco Squad , Plastician [...]

The label project of Shadow Child and Kry Wolf , Food Music , has been one of our favorite budding house labels of the last year. With releases from Shadow Child and Kry Wolf themselves, along with that track Dappy from Hannah Wants , amongst others, Food has solidified itself amongst Dirtybird as the go-to label for bumping booty house jams. Next up on the label is a joint EP from Kill Frenzy and Sacha Robotti titled Errrybody Like It , which will [...]

The Dirtybird brand has never been stronger, and it's well deserved. The San Francisco based label is on a mission to put that bounce in house music and is succeeding like no other California-based dance music label has before. This year the label has already seen Beatport #12s in both the 'House' and 'Deep House' genres. The takeover has begun. We're proud to be bringing in two of these Dirtybird players to San Diego for what will be one of San Diego's biggest Dirtybird showcases to date. The Belgian born Kill Frenzy [...]
Still basking in the chart-topping glow of latest release "Jack," the fine folks at Dirtybird have built another bomb in the re-release of Kill Frenzy 's wildly popular "Make That Booty Clap," complete with four accompanying remixes. The Belgian producer's genre-defying hit became one of the biggest tracks of 2012 and was supported by no shortage of producers, even making a marquee appearance in Skrillex's Tomorrowland and Electric Zoo sets. Each of the four remixes succeeds in exploring new sonic territory while retaining the infectious rhythmic [...]

KUDOS to you Sankeys for locking the Dirtybird Records crew down for residency at your club in Ibiza. The franchise was most recently in the news for not letting Bieber into their Manchester club . Claude Vonstroke is ditching the increasingly trending "EDM" habit of turning down Ibiza for Vegas and gone the opposite way snapping up Thursday Nights on the island. So what is in store for the fashionable label and it's new partnership? “I've been playing Ibiza for 8 years from DC10 to We Love Space and I am [...]
Bowling may seem an odd choice for an extra-curricular WMC outing given Miami’s reputation for glamour and hedonism, but not so for the lovable mess of misfits at San Francisco's tech funk label Dirtybird . A sacrosanct safe haven for eclectic personalities and sounds, the label is known for being just as forward-thinking as it is, well, fun. On WMC Wednesday, a local Lucky Strike became ground zero for the label artists and lucky attendees aboard the MOX Bus , which featured such daily “takeovers” by various labels throughout the week. [...]

Just 3 days out from Dirtybird Records Miami BBQ which is a part of the label's world tour , p hotographer Tim Horton followed the Dirtybird Records crew into a shoot with Mixmag pre Dirtybird Miami BBQ.. The results are some pretty eccentric old style sports photos with the likes of Claude Vonstroke (naturally), Kill Frenzy, Justin Martin, Eats Everything and others. [...]

Booty Clapper and Dirtybird regular Kill Frenzy has put his spin on Britain's Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo . The Belgian producer has put a serious deep and ominous vibe to this track, and as usual he'll have you boppin' your head instantly. You may think it's all done an dusted, but when that second drop rolls in that head bop will turn into a full body twerk. Got to love the Kill Frenzy treatment.

Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo make their debut on Food Music with the immense 'Dappy'. The infectious grooves and THAT bassline have already cemented themselves with of Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, T Williams, plus Food's own Kry Wolf and Shadow Child, and it now looks set to tear roof tiles and big-top canvas off many more parties through 2013. YUM003 now also comes complete with the even darker remix from Belgium's shining star Kill Frenzy! Out on Food Music April 1st 2013. To keep the masses happy until the release Hannah & [...]
Dirtybirds rejoice! Early Friday morning, dirtybird and its roster of audio pioneers announced that they will begin a world tour next month. Celebrating eleven years of "bass-driven funk, sweaty house and dance floor carnage," the Bay Area house label promises that the shows will have "forties and neck ties, ghetto blasters and golf carts, deck shows and BBQ sauce." The dirtybird Players tour lineup will consist of many favorites, including: Justin Martin , Eats Everything , J Phlip , Leroy Peppers , Catz + Dogz, Shadow Child , Kill Frenzy, [...]
I hope everybody's week is going swimmingly. This week's beats are geared towards keeping your mind focused and your energy up. I tried to gather tracks that evolve naturally together. If you haven't noticed yet, I like to organize the weekly wobbles as if I'm building a set of my own. In fact, the first and last track pair up very nicely. You could listen to Week 6 repeatedly and forget where it begins and where it ends. Unfortunately for the downloaders amongst you, most of the tracks are stream-only. I've gone ahead and made a SoundCloud [...]

"Black Girls White Girls" is a testament to the ever-growing Dirtybird dynasty, as two of the label's newer(ish) members collab to continue the legacy of creamy melodies, in-your-face-basslines, and lovable weirdness that have become synonymous with the imprint's signature sound. As part of the Dirtybird Players Compilation (Part 1) compiled by Claude VonStroke, Kill Frenzy and Nick Monaco bring you this luscious creation of booty-shakin and drum-n-bassin, in tribute to all women, black-n-caucasian. Complete with orgasmic sound effects (literally) and a magical DnB breakdown (@ 2:30), this one [...]

By now I'm sure you've heard the ridiculously ghetto & funky " Booty Clap " from Belgium producer Kill Frenzy , as it's become quite the memorable tune. There's also no surprise that Dirtybird were behind the killer track, as they are this remix from Mark Starr . Just as we might be getting too use to the original, this U.S. producer brings new life to the tune. His remix is simple like the original, but with the addition of some groovy synths and chopped vocals. You can get the track now [...]
These days, music distribution companies and record labels alike are looking for new and innovative ways to connect listeners to their music. drip.fm is a subscription middleman service that connects you to a handful of music labels; some examples include big hitters OWSLA , Fool's Gold , Mad Decent , Stone's Throw , and Ghostly International . Instead of the consumer selecting which tracks, EPs, or albums to buy, the label themselves choose specifically what content to provide. For roughly $10/month (pricing is label-dependent), you get exclusive tracks, [...]

Tracklist: 01. Sidesho Intro (Welcome to Oakland) 02. E40 & Too [...]
