Here we go!! 20 more tracks to make that Tuesday of yours a little bit more enjoyable. One of the most memorable tracks from this section has to be TV NOISE's remix to Swedish House Mafia and Laidback Luke's Leave The World Behind . The young duo from The Netherlands formally known as Les Bros have been dominating the EDM scene, releasing most of their filth through Spinning Records, best look out for these guys this year. Another duo to keep an eye out for in 2013 is The Knocks. This NYC pair brings the funk and the noise, they have been [...]

Now this is a trio I was not expecting. New Zealand darling, Kimbra with Canadian wunderkind, A-Trak , and Foster The People's Mike Foster on one track? Add a whole other level of hype with the duo behind What So Not and we have on our hands a solid track to turn the lights off, turn up the volume, and get down. Trust me here, this track deserves your speaker's full attention. Kimbra has never sounded sexier than she does here on this track. Her vocals in the chorus, deep in [...]

Remember how Adele 's 21 and Gotye 's "Somebody That I Used To Know" were deemed to be the to-date best selling album and single, respectively, of 2012 last July ? Well, both toughed it out through the end of the year and warded off all pop competitors to remain on top on Billboard 's final 2012 tallies. The publication notes that 21 sold another 4.41 million copies in '12 (down just a bit from 5.82 million in 2011), thus marking the [...]

Bang goes another year - with a blinding new twelve month blank canvas awaiting its stimulating and electrifying fate. Jam-packed by a flabbergasting heartiness of indisputable energy, the likes of Cosmic Gate, Malibu Breeze, Wezz Devall and Misha Wild should see off any lingering expressions of undue paranoia’s, frustrations or overbearing anxieties remaining in their midst. Fire-it-up good n’ proper Ladies & Gents!!!! PART ONE ALUNA GEORGE - You Know You Like It (Riton Re-rub) ASAF AVIDAN - One Day (Malibu [...]
It’s that time again. It sends some into a feverish sweat, others into convulsions of excitement and for fragile people like myself, into anxious breakdowns. Yup. Hottest 100 voting time. Australia’s leading alternative radio station, Triple J, has launched its annual countdown again; the biggest music democracy to rule the airwaves. Citizens from both Australia and around the globe are invited to pick their top ten tracks from the year just gone, 2012. And, my my, what a task it ...
Well, here's the THIRD Year End Countdown. It's hard to believe I'm ending my third year of doing this podcast. Pretty nuts. I'm super stoked to see the results of all the year-end polls I've been voting in. That's my excitement for the week. What's yours? I hope you enjoy this YEC and that you'll join me next week for the Artists of the Year Countdown. Oh, also, in the last seconds of the last intro, please enjoy the sound of my dog vigorously scratching herself. 2012 Year End Countdown [...]
10. Arguably the catchiest chorus of the year, Star Slinger started the summer of 2012 with a bang by coming out with his remix of LOL Boys' song "Changes." Although I'm usually not a fan of when artists incorporate air horns within their productions, Star Slinger manages to use an unusual mixture of samples and pitches to create a song that's remarkably pleasing to the ear. If anyone could make me like the unpleasant sound of an airhorn, it would be this guy. 9. With all the remixes of Kimbra [...]

10. Justin Bieber - Boyfriend This little diddy messed up late 20 year olds for 6 months straight when at first glance they thought it was a Justin Timberlake song they were singing along to. Little did they know they were humming along to the leader of the bushwacka club, Justin Beleiber. Not to mention, the video, the Nsyncer ripoff was tops. Below is a little reminder of why we loved this track even though it annoyed us. Version #2 preferred [...]

Top 12 Albums of 2012 (Julia) 12. Tramp - Sharon Van Etten Favorite Track : "Give Out" Totally enchanted by Sharon Van Etten's voice. Such a good album for a rainy day, and considering it rains most of the time here in Seattle, it's pretty much a good album for every day. 11. There's No Leaving Now - The Tallest Man on Earth [...]

Jessie Rose's vinyl release of his Good Intent remix is only scheduled for January 14th, but today he released a free download for anyone who is interested.
