Fade to Mind head honcho and Night Slugs affiliate - L.A based producer Kingdom drops his insanely amazing "Vertical XL" mix for LOGO . The mix features tracks from among others fellow Night Sluggers L-Vis 1990 and Girl Unit, Divoli Severe, Massacooramaan etc., along with exclusive new tracks from his forthcoming EP "Vertical XL" that will be released May 28th on Fade To Mind. BONUS: His shimmering, club thumping Cassie edit.
Last month, Cassie, the queen of breathy-robot electro-R&B, released her insanely great RockaByeBaby mixtape, which would still be the year's best mixtape if Chance The Rapper's Acid Rap hadn't come along. The tape ended with the twinkly, luxurious " All My Love ." And now the Brooklyn dance producer Kingdom has reworked the track, though he didn't exactly overhaul it. Instead, he stretched out its titanic computer-groove to nearly twice its length, adding in some subtle touches. Listen to his edit below. Read More...
Fade To Mind don Kingdom is celebrating the release of his new EP Vertical-XL this month (28 May) by giving away this swish Cassie edit, which you can download by heading over to his Soundcloud. Glittery and bolshy all at once, he brings in classic club melter Fogs about halfway through:

Sur le point de sortir son nouvel album Versatile XL pour le 28 Mai prochain, le producteur Kingdom nous propose aujourd'hui un tout autre morceau à écouter. Voici son nouveau remix du titre de Cassie , All My Love , sur lequel il vient apporter une nouvelle vision beaucoup plus électronique au morceau tout en gardant le côté très R&B de l'original.
It's past 5pm on a Friday night, so fingers crossed most of you are out prepping for whatever you have in store to celebrate the end of the week. Take a brief moment before you clock out for the weekend to take a glimpse at a new Kingdom flip of Cassie's "All My Love". Keeping up with the typical Kingdom output, you should probably find a way to sneak this one into your weekend playlist.

O novo EP do Kingdom, Vertical XL , sai no dia 28 desse mês.

The Brooklyn-based dance producer Kingdom, whose tracks presage many of the more melodic and rap-friendly forms of dance music currently in ascendance, is getting ready to release the new EP Vertical at the end of the month. He's shared an instrumental called "Corpse," a twisty and shivery dance track that skirts the edge of trap-house and throws in enough disconnected shards of melody that it achieves an uneasy sort of hypnosis. Listen to it below. Read More...

Baltimore hip hop artist King Los will be coming to Kingdom on Thursday, May 9 on his "Becoming King" Tour. The show will also be featuring Hi-Rez and opening acts Rich P, Duch, HaBits, Ms. Proper and Tai Wo , who all from the RVA area.

In a week that presented us some great new hopes for summer, the buzz news cycles found us giving some heart while scratching our heads in aggravation and ambivalence. A tough, sinister cut from Kingdom ’s forthcoming EP, Vertical XL, has surfaced. “Corpse” follows the relatively light-hearted lead single “Bank Head,” which features LA-based vocalist Kelela . The Fade to Mind boss will release the 7-track record, his fifth EP, on May 28. [Kingdom] alh [...]

Kingdom's boutique eclectic label Fade To Mind just leaked another track off the label boss's fifth studio EP, and from a track titled "Corpse", it's exactly what you'd expect. Dark, chillingly minimal synths and a precocious baseline create "Corpse", the second track from the Vertical XL EP to be leaked. The other leak, "Bank Head", featuring vocals from Fade to Mind's in house vocalist Kelela, who is also preparing for a release in the near future, is much more rhythmic and sturdy, but nevertheless, both tracks are excellent, and they provide for a good look into the seven-track EP's [...]
