As Jerry Gaskill continues his recovery from a heart attack suffered late last month, King's X are offering a download of a previously unreleased 1991 concert to fans who donate money to help offset the drummer's medical and personal bills. Available for download via the Molten Music website ( click on the poster), Burning Down Boston: Live at The Channel is a 90-minute, 13-song concert recorded at the height of the band's 1990 tour in support of Faith Hope Love . King's X drummer Jerry Gaskill suffered a heart attack a couple of weeks back. He's recovering, but the going is tough; vocalist/bassist Doug Pinnick's been posting updates fairly regularly on his Facebook page, and when "he's breathing on his own" two weeks after the initial attack is a milestone, you know there's a long, long [...]
There's not much else I can say that my headline and the above Facebook status update from King's X bassist/vocalist Doug Pinnick don't already tell you, but that's such a relief to learn... great news. Last we heard Jerry was on a ventilator, so shit must've been really serious. At this stage in the game, any [...]
It takes a lot for your average working class metal band to cancel a tour. As if van wrecks and health scares weren't bad enough on their own, the lost income from not being able to tour - where bands these days make most of their income - just adds insult to injury. It couldn't [...]

In case you're wondering, I was lying when I said I was having a wisdom tooth removed by an oral surgeon. In fact, I simply traveled to Spain, where I had the tooth knocked out by a pizza boomerang. Here's some other shit we did this week: We debuted new music by Terrorizer and Seas [...]

At 61 years old he's still battling it out in the trenches, be it with his main band or one of his myriad side projects, touring all over the country and writing music day in and day out. Even more impressively [...]

Whatever the reason, I don't understand it and apparently after all that neither does Axl... maybe one of [...]
