Need more proof that electronic music is taking over? Look no further than one of the most prestigious institutions on the planet, Cambridge University, holding a debate between BBC 1 resident Kissy Sell Out and British comedian Stephen Fry on whether or not classical music is still relevant. According to Kissy "Classical music is an elitist form of artistic expression [...] it's something that comes from the high classes, it's aimed at the high classes." Fry rebuts that just because you do not understand a scientific paper does not mean it is not relevant to you, the [...]
Name a genre sexier then moombahton. With it's worldly influences, up tempo beats, purely intoxicating builds, and a relentless dance-till-you-drop attitude, there is no equal. As more producers pick up on the style and add their own histories to the mix, the music just doesn't stop coming. So, every Sunday on BounceBug, we'll be dialing up a sizzling round of tracks to you fans that will showcase just how wildly fun this moombahton movement naturally is. Let's start the fuego. Couldn't be a better time then now to start showing my huge support of moombahton. I [...]
I was hanging around all day yesterday waiting for these remixes to come out, and they delivered just as greatly as you could expect. Dim Mak & Ultra are undeniably two of the biggest EDM labels out there today, and Steve Aoki is one of the most fun people in EDM to work with, so you can imagine the producers they've queued up for this EP. Lucky Date, Third Party, Designer Drugs, Mysto & Pizzi, Tai, and Kissy Sell Out, THAT is a hell of a lineup. Every remix has the potential to blow up the dance floor, and none [...]

Ahead of us hosting room 2 at XOYO on the 27th of this month (check the Facebook event HERE ), we sat down with the man heading up the main event - the king of the bassline, Kissy Sell Out . Whilst reading through the answers for this interview, I had a huge grin on my face the entire time. Kissy knows how to keep everyone smiling whether it's a scruffy little tit of a blogger-come-interviewer (me) or the thousands of fans he keeps dancing on the regular. Check the interview after the jump. [...]
Last night, on his final BBC Radio 1 show Rave renaissance man Kissy Sell Out premiered a brand new tune featuring the vocal stylings of our reigning ElectroPop monarch, Queen Of Hearts . 'You're Not The One' may be in it's infancy as a track but it's already sounding like it could take festival season by storm. Whether this is what the finished product will sound like is anyone's guess but I'm pretty much expecting to be dancing to this in a muddy field in a few months time. Queen Of Hearts' own new double [...]

Since 2007, BBC Radio 1 has been running 'In New DJs We Trust' , a weekly radio show rotating a set of DJs featuring all of the best EDM music. Notable hosts include top DJs such as Kissy Sell Out , Kutski , Jaymo and Andy George , Toddla T , Alex Metric , Chuckie , and a bunch more. Since last January, Skream & Benga have hosted the show every 2nd Thursday of the month. Personally, this is my go-to for the hugest tunes, new music, [...]

Dillon Francis is on a hot streak as of late and this new remix for Kissy Sell Out's single Turn It On is no exception. He embodies the originals' melodies and slows it down to some Big Room Moombahton. Real rave tune. MC Cobra's on vocals makes the track go a little harder. Also, be on the look out for his collab with Kill The Noise, titled Dill The Noise coming out on Mad Decent Records. be sure to check Buy it here. Kissy Sell Out feat. MC Cobra - Turn It On [...]
Loving friend of the program and all-around amazing person in electronic dance music, Kissy Sell Out , is now out on a massive UK tour with MC Cobra dubbed the "Turn It On" tour, hitting select cities and stages in the likes of York, Coventry, Leeds, Aberdeen and more, all hot on the heels of his new release, also dubbed "Turn It On", out on Beatport now . Check out the somewhat erotic music video for the single 'Homesick' taken from the album 'Wild Romance ' released earlier this year and available in stores now.

Finally, The Squatters are back with a BANGER. From two artists I literally used to obsess over, this is the sound I have been missing... Turn it up LOUD. X

A couple weekends ago moombahton master Dillon Francis played what was perhaps his largest show to date, opening up HARD Summer LA with a HUGE moombah filled set. The rising star had a surprisingly large crowd on hand for such an early timeslot, and Dillon did the crowd dirty by dropping those 108 bpm rhythms like it was cake. Lucky for those who did not attend (and those that want to relive part of HARD), Red Bull Music Academy Radio recorded Dillon's set and recently rebroadcasted it for the world to hear! The sound that Moombahton artist Dillon Francis makes is truly amazing. At ease behind the turntables and in the studio, in the electro world and in dubstep, Dillon is what you would call an open-format electronic dj who sees no delineation between making music and playing it. With the support of artists such as Steve Aoki, Diplo, Will I. Am, Drop The Lime, Sinden, and Tittsworth he is sure to have nothing short of a bright future. Many electronic artists dream about being on the Mad Decent label, but he managed to achieve this feat barely a year into his [...]

Fresh out of Dillon Francis's beat lab is his new remix of the UK producer Kissy Sellout's Turn It On . The Moombahton elements he adds to this track are so perfectly layered and timed perfectly. He throws in a few high energy vocal samples to get you singing a long a bit. Dillon's build up snyth which is a bubbly, squeaky, and anticipates right to a upbeat Dutch horn that will get you to heading out to the Mad Decent Block Party next Saturday. [...]
