I would be lying if I said I was the biggest Cassie fan. However, its this type of track that makes me feel like she has some untapped potential. While this "edit" isn't a complete remix (in fact it sounds untouched at first), Brooklyn producer Kingdom did a good job adding a few subtle touches and adding to the futuristic feel. Check it out.
Fade to Mind head honcho and Night Slugs affiliate - L.A based producer Kingdom drops his insanely amazing "Vertical XL" mix for LOGO . The mix features tracks from among others fellow Night Sluggers L-Vis 1990 and Girl Unit, Divoli Severe, Massacooramaan etc., along with exclusive new tracks from his forthcoming EP "Vertical XL" that will be released May 28th on Fade To Mind. Last month, Cassie, the queen of breathy-robot electro-R&B, released her insanely great RockaByeBaby mixtape, which would still be the year's best mixtape if Chance The Rapper's Acid Rap hadn't come along. The tape ended with the twinkly, luxurious " All My Love ." And now the Brooklyn dance producer Kingdom has reworked the track, though he didn't exactly overhaul it.
