Robin Thicke ft. Lil'Wayne, K'naan ft. Nelly Furtado , Dev ft. Fabolous: ecco i video ufficiali di "Pretty Lil'Heart", "Is Anybody Out There" e "Kiss My Lips".
Filed under: News , Exclusive , Politics as Usual AP We never figured Mitt Romney for a hip-hop connoisseur -- despite the fact that he likely has an " other other benz " -- but we were still surprised by his incredibly idiotic decision to use K'naan 's 'Wavin' Flag' as a campaign anthem. The Somali-Canadian rapper penned the track about the strife in his native Mogadishu, a subject that isn't exactly relevant to [...]
Canadian/Somalian rapper K'Naan (pictured above and left with his buddies from Keane ) has a new video out for 'Is Anyone Out There?' with fellow Canuck Nelly Furtado. The song itself is a bit existentialist, and it's a bit sappy, but it sends the right kind of message. Which makes the ending all the more disappointing. And upsetting. I guess it's trying to show "real life"? (Funny, my dad said the reason why mobile phones were banned in schools back when they first came out was [...]

Just when you thought It Gets Better-esque videos like Pink's "Perfect" , Katy Perry's "Firework" and Selena Gomez's "Who Says" were so last year, along comes K'naan and Nelly Furtado's "Is Anybody Out There" clip, which finds the pair detailing the troubled lives of Mary and Adam, two down-on-their-luck youths who feel invisible. So is anybody out there? Find out below. K'naan featuring Nelly Furtado — "Is Anybody Out There" To be honest, the video feels [...]

In a behind-the-scenes clip of K'naan and Nelly Furtado's upcoming "Is Anybody Out There" video, we find the pair singing each other's praises on the set. "Nelly really took this song to the place where it is now," says K'naan. "Anybody else could have done this song and it wouldn't have been the same. I think Nelly brings an incredible amount of flavor." Get an early look at the collaborators below as they hang in the woods and in an old house during the "Is Anybody Out There" shoot. "I was [...]

Nelly Furtado took another baby step toward coming out of her somewhat reclusive state by hitting up The Late Show With David Letterman last night with her pal K'naan. While performing "Is There Anybody Out There" , the Canadian songstress, whose new album T.S.I. is due out sometime this summer, waved her arms, pumped her fists and jumped around while wearing a bulky blue coat and Lisa Loeb-esque black-framed glasses. Consider us ready for her full-on return. Watch K'naan and Nelly below! [...]

"I'm looking for something that'll… break through. You know?" James Woods' Max Renn yearns in David Cronenberg's 1983 cult classic Videodrome . Oh, how things have changed. In today's day and age, we've already drowned in media. It's swallowed us. We're nothing but a bubble amidst one infinite, engulfing abyss. Intimidated? You should be. With each passing second, you're losing opportunities to take advantage of a culture that's moving ahead and at an exhausting rate. You could very well be alone… left behind… abandoned. Terrified yet? Yes? Well, that's more like it. -Michael Roffman [...]

Earlier today I was sent a promo copy of the K'NAAN 's forthcoming long_one. I'm yet to press play, unsure if I will, just starting with the new NOTING TO LOSE video now, which showcases a look at the real urban side of Toronto town. Oh and there's a cameo from the NAS too.

There's not a lot of music videos that display Toronto's seedy underbelly (unless you count Drake's clip for "Headlines" , which had far too many grown men in sweaters and gloves to be truly gritty). For a look at the real urban side of Toronto, local hero/MC K'Naan takes collaborator Nas on a tour of the city in the music video for "Nothing To Lose" . The duo begin the night with drinks, where the Illmatic One spits some sagely wisdom. From there, it's on to car rides through various neighborhoods and meetings with [...]

"This corny kid quick to send you to the coroner's." K'NAAN is one of those artists that can move between ultra mainstream appeal and gutter street shit. One minute he's philosophizing on world freedom and expression, the next he's talking about knifing you in a dark alley, or storming your borders with some pirates, all set to an upbeat rhythm and pop guitars. Here's another example of such on "Nothing To Lose", which co-stars Nas. Pretty fresh. Watch below.
Isn't it nice to see Nas popping up twice in one day? For the video to this inspirational cut from K'Nann's More Beautiful Than Silence EP, fans can stroll through [...]

Off of K'NAAN 's most recent EP, More Beautiful Than Silence , K'naan and Nas have let loose their video for "Nothing To Lose." Director Francisco Soriano takes us around K'naan's old neighborhoods, Dixon Towers and Jamestown, in Toronto, Canada's west end. Watch the two roam Canadian streets below.
New video for K'NAAN & Nas' "Nothing To Lose", off More Beautiful Than Silence EP. iTunes: More Beautiful Than Silence - EP - K'naan
Somalian transplant and Toronto native, K'naan hits the street with seasoned vet Nas for this video release of their collaborative track "Nothing To Lose". The two chop it up between verses about their surprisingly similar pasts, reflecting a certain appreciation that contributes well to the song. "Nothing To Lose" lives on K'naan's recent 5-track EP More Beautiful Than Silence - grab that here .
I have been avoiding most of K'naan 's latest More Beautiful Than Silence EP, due to the fact that the majority of it is filled with party pop singles. But there is one song off the project that is undeniably fresh. That song, the Nas assisted "Nothing To Lose", now has a set of Toronto based visuals to accompany it. Oh, and most of the corny hooks are muted out as dialogue takes precedent every so often in the video. More Beautiful Than Silence is out now. Hit the skip to watch the video.
