Like the last time Johnston came to First Avenue, his set last week was split intro three equal portions. And while Johnstons' last show was entertaining at the start and lost steam as other musicians joined Johnston, Thursday night was the exact opposite.
It was clear what endeared Johnston to an attentive audience at First Avenue: His honesty.
Daniel Johnston, Knife World and the Soft Rocks will play tonight (Aug. 13) at Minneapolis' First Avenue.
Johnston will play tomorrow night, with locals Knife World as his backing band.
