After several years worth of EPs filled with ecstatic house music vibes, Round Table Knights have finally dropped their debut album on Made To Play today. The album seems like it's almost comprised of two halfs, the first working as a showcase for RTK's pure dancefloor muscle. "Drop The Dow" remains the best piece of acapella-scat house I've heard, and even after playing it out about a hundred times, there's something amazing about "Calypso" that continually rocks the house, even if it's being played outside in -20 degree Canadian winter. Ever since I saw Round Table Knights at the start of the year I have been a big admirer. They totally turned their sound around at the end of the electro phase and have journeyed through a few different sounds before finally reaching what I believe to be their pocket. They played a fantastic set full of underground house jams that had a shocked Adelaide crowd dancing to songs they had never even dreamed of hearing before. Here is their whole album sample, highly highly recommended for anyone following the house music of today. [...]

LUST took a break from producing/recording his next EP to remix the School Knights' next single "Lunch Money". LUST figured that a slow and haunting disco take on the lo-fi garage jam was necessary and the result is fantastic. The remix sounds a little like a LightsOverLA remix or a Passion Pit song. I have definitely been jamming to this nonstop for the past few hours. Check this out and find more of LUST music on his Soundcloud . The School Knights are a local band from my hometown of Boulder whose music [...]

Calypso is one of those songs that, even if you haven't heard it before, you could swear you have. The track was a real moment of greatness for the Round Table Knights last year, and this album is a worthy follow up. Say What?! succeeds where most fail, in taking inspiration from disparate influences and attempting to arrange a coherent whole; while the album draws from disco, dub, garage, and even jazz and swing, Say What?! is house all the way through, and it is worth listening to in that manner! Released by: Made To Play Release/catalogue [...]

So the album I've been waiting on for aaaages is nearly out! Round Table Knights - Say What?! will be available to buy on 28th February... Aside from all the wonderfully different tracks on there, there was an awesome skit with a guy eating some food talking about how he's the best at any instrument but doesn't want to record anything cause it'll get ripped off... don't know why but i love it. "Never delivering an output that could be considered 'typical', their forthcoming artist abum 'Say What?!' reflects this perfectly. Musical influences ranging [...]

Somehow, one of King Khan's side projects slipped past me. You'll forgive me, since he has so many, but I've gotten my hands on Tandoori Knights, his collaboration with rockabilly dude Bloodshot Bill. 'Bandstand' has got to be my favorite track off their LP, Curry Up! It's the Tandoori Knights, which was put out on [...]
