The weekend has come and gone, and now you're deep into your weekly grind. Never fear, Wobble Wednesday is back with more of your favorite face-melting bass drops to help you make the most of your mundane lifestyle. Today I'll be guiding you along through the many variations of bass music that we see these days, new and old. I wanted to turn the Wobble Wednesday feature into more than just a section for today's dubstep, so I decided it was only right to incorporate some drum & bass as well as an oldies section into the weekly feature. [...]
Convergent evolution is when two completely separate lineages evolve similar features. In nature we see this with the Sugar Glider and the Flying Squirrel (there's your daily bit of knowledge). Outside of nature we can see this between Dub & Dubstep. The former came out of 19602s Reggae with a focus on remixing original tracks through bringing [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here again! Welcome back! If you're not already familiar with Wobble Wednesday, that's okay – we want to make your first time amazing. Most of what you'll be listening to here is often referred to as dubstep, but can encompass all genres of heavy bass music. To quote bass music artist ill.Gates, "When you look at what some of the bigger dubstep guys are doing now, they'll play some dubstep, they'll play some drumstep, they'll plays some breaks, some drum and bass, and maybe some dance hall." That's what Wobble Wednesday is all about. [...]

Slated for a November 7 release on Cosmic Bridge, Kromestar's Parallel Sounds EP is sounding pretty damn good. All 4 tunes have a little bit of an '80s twang but, paradoxically, also sound a bit futuristic. Imagine an astronaut with a mullet and you're halfway there. Check out the preview below and envision yourself floating through space wearing a denim jacket with the sleeves cut off. Buy Kromestar tunes at Juno.
This should be a Drum & Bass galore. Information and purchasing of tickets click here. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

As the sun splashes into the Pacific Ocean during sunset it sets the tone for the rest of the night. Unleashing the magic of the hot day transitioning into the cool nights. Then the light breeze kicks in, that's the universe letting you know your still alive, it's still alive and breathing, so are you. Actually, some songs make you feel that way. There's nothing like it, but there are a few songs that somehow emulate how those feelings. I've recently been finding the soundtrack to my summer as the gems surface from my inbox. Slowly making its [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here to get you through the hardest part of your week. The smooth, sub-bass of the "old school" sounds are still being produced today. This is 70/140BPM bass music designed to calm your soul. It draws heavily from the ragga, jungle, reggae, dub, grime and garage genres. For lack of a better description, the music on Wobble Wednesday is dubstep that embodies the reggae/dub roots from which dubstep arose. Come back every Wednesday for Wobble Wednesday - and stay tuned to Earmilk for the evil side of dubstep on Friday with [...]

So I had really dark vibes when selecting songs for this post. Some of these are from the Dub Police 08 era, when dark vibes were really hot. Dubwoofa ! What a name for a Dubstep artist loved what he's doing, pretty much all the Dub Police lads have similar sounds but they tweak in a way that your still wondering what that tweak is gonning to be cause each is unique an intrigues the ear. The Phear Phace tune uses a sample from Kool Savas's Rhythmus Meines Lebens [...]

May 2011 was a pretty eventful month for Rebel. We survived the rapture. We got a few shout-outs from the big dogs. We threw an awesome party and someone got shot down the street. Despite all of the ruckus, we still managed to tune into some of the best May had to offer in music. As always, we've lovingly compiled our favorite releases in case you missed them, and cheers to another great month of music in June.

So after last week I've gone a little more old school. I feel like the world is not quite ready for the new sounds were hearing from these new artists . I'm sorry, but the old wobbles are never are coming back, but this genre is changing and if you don't like it then listen to FabricLive.37 for the rest of your life . Don't get me wrong, it's a great album, but everything about this style of music is changing just like our generation of people, listeners, DJs and producers. Want me to post Pro [...]

2009 was a huge year for Anti-Social Entertainment with "Silkie's City Limits Volume 1 " dropping to critical acclaim on Mala's Deep Medi records and Kromestar's "My Sound" making a heavy impact in London's streets. Last week, Sach O spoke to crew representative, badman DJ and all around nice guy Razor Rekta about Anti-Social's origins, the crew's forthcoming releases, Dubstep and UK Funky, Canadian donut houses and just what is up with that crew name. First up, who in the world is Razor Rekta and what kind of sounds are you bringing [...]
