"Partyloop" es un nombre que le viene como anillo al dedo a la nueva canción que, hace tan solo unos minutillos, el canadiense Laberge ha sacado del horno. "Party" porque [....]
Konichiwa mothertruckers. I hope everyone had a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Here are this week's offbeat picks that I'd like to expose you to. First up is the silky disco styling from Canadian producer Laberge . He released a mini album call Extended Vacation a little over a week ago that is absolutely prime. Its the kind of music you don't have to pay close attention to to enjoy. You just let it fill up the empty space in the room or in your mind and let it do it's job. Give the album a listen and check [...]

The long-awaited remix companion to 2011's " RCMP II " is finally out. RCMP - "RCMP II: The Remixes" presents seven reinterpretations of "RCMP II." Remixers include Pink Skull (RVNG INT'L), Laberge (Solid Bump), Elvis Suarez (Strictly Rhythm), DJ Ayres (Young Robots / T&A), Fifteenth (Fools Gold / Scion AV), Burnso (Young Robots) and Pumpkin Patch (Young Robots). Pretty huge. I'm very proud of the work all these guys did reinterpreting our record. We asked them all to remix it because we love listening to their work! DJs, you need these. Please support Young [...]

Albums from dance music producers seem to be an ever increasingly rare event. Dance music fans who aren't DJs kind of get shafted these days, seldom getting to really delve into synergistic collections of songs from one artist. Laberge is doing his best to balance out this inequality with his new mini-album Extended Vacation... a release that's equally listener and DJ friendly. Laberge made Extended Vacation entirely on his MCP and it's stuffed with lots of crunchy drums, jazzy keyboard runs and deep deep vibes. You can purchase it directly off his bandcamp page for $5... here [...]

Vancouver-based producer Laberge always comes through with the very best, so it doesn't exactly come as a surprise that his latest effort is super fantastic. Extended Vacation, a mini album project he's releasing today on Bandcamp, feels just about perfect now that the sun is breaking through the perma-gray here in Seattle. You can pick it up from Laberge's bandcamp page here ..
Dicen que "la primavera la sangre altera" y, desde luego, si lo hace acompañada de compilaciones como la que os presentamos a continuación, no nos extraña un pelo. Justin Laberge, [....]

Looking for more music to rock your end-of-year party? Whatever mood you're going for, these three remixes will please your crowd. First up is an outstanding Basement Jaxx remix from Canadian producer Laberge . It's a skillfully synthed take on one of my all-time-favorite Jaxx tracks, Jump N' Shout. Next is a pretty weird but ultimately awesome remix of Eye of the Tiger from Cosmonaut Grechko , who has consistently been one of my favorite producers over the year. Finally, I discovered this 8-month-old but still perfectly funky remix of Busta's 'Dangerous' from The Reachers on [...]

Previous POW! producer Laberge's new track hit the internet a few hours ago and his disco, bass-driven beats never fail to get me in the mood for a knees up. Laberge - No Pressue The new track comes as the Canadian's profile begins to build strong bases from around the world which ultimately led to the new collaborative project with fellow Vancouverite Nikademus whose hip-hop/breakbeat insprired project is tantalising for our ears. Laberge & Nikademus - Secret Forest [...]

How legendary is the Legendary Long Weekend series? Well, Vancouver promotion crew Intimate Productions have been throwing the first rate bashes for 8 years. And while they usually try to showcase local Vancouver DJs and artists, they're occasionally tempted with truly international acts they can't refuse. Some of the highlights from past LLW parties include Booka Shade, DJ T, Matthew Dear aka Audion, Z-Trip, Carl Craig and Kevin Saunderson. This Thursday, Nov.10th the party is LAST CALL FOR 2011 and is hosted at the spectacular Waldorf Hotel which is easily the best venue I've been too [...]

Photo by Katherine Squier Well it looks like this tasty little treat was to be released under some label at some point, but Laberge got tired of waiting and has brought his sounds directly to the people. We're sure as hell glad he did, the Late To The Party extended play is a fantastic collection of sexy disco and R&B jams, ones that'll make the poolside shine. And that's right, you can grab'em all for free. So, get grabbin'. [...]

You've got me dancing in my sleep (Laberge's extended party edit) by laberge Yeah I've been doing that now in Paris. This nice edit saved my 'Sunday-Monday'.

Vancouver young gun Laberge is on a roll lately, as you have probably been jamming to his tracks posted all over the blog these days. Well here he is again with "Deception," an 802s disco infused house tune that builds up quite nicely. I can't wait to hear what he puts out next, as I'm always putting his stuff on rotation.

Laberge does it again with another disco-tinged house banger. The dude's on fire these days! Free download too.

Producer of the Week or POW! will focus on the many studio-based talents from around the globe, taking into account their work from originals to remixes to edits to blends and so forth. First in the firing line is Laberge whose funk-inspired works have been playing out of Mahogany HQ repeatedly since first hearing him back in August and if you heard our August mixtape, you would have heard the track 'Million Dollar Party'. Laberge - All Night Laberge hails from Toronto and through his own biography he [...]

Laberge does it again. Frisky - You've Got Me Dancing In My Sleep (Laberge's Extended Party Edit)

Spending the last while in Vancouver, it was obvious I'd discover some serious local talent. Today I'd like to shine the spotlight on Laberge. One of the few guys in the area really pushing the disco edits thing, Laberge is getting attention from the top guns as of late. Fresh off soundcloud, we are given his new remix of Frisky's late 70s hit "You've Got Me Dancing In My Sleep." Party jam alert! Download it for free before it runs out, folks.

Ah I loveeee edits of classics. You can't even claim to be into disco and funk if you haven't heard of Orlando Johnson. Looking back to 1982 when "Chocolate City" came out, it still sounds fresh in comparison to the jams today. You may recognize it as the intro to a Classixx mix a few years ago. Anyway, I stumbled upon this mix-worthy edit by Laberge on soundcloud this morning and got a little excited. What's even better is that you can download the full quality version for free.

I only found out about this boogie track after U-Tern put it on the Bodywork mix from a couple of years ago. Anyway, Lebarge was nice enough to put out a useable edit of it for your downloading and rocking pleasure. Orlando Johnson and Trance - Chocolate City (Laberge edit) by laberge
Keadz (not to be mistaken with Keedz) are Elie Dahan, Antoine Couzinet and Théo Fernandez. They are Parisian masterminds when it comes to smooth, sexy disco electro. Their EP Château Jeanne (Freedom Records) is a mixture of summery happiness, guitar riffs and synthy dreams. Prior to the release of their EP, they released a mixtape that got [...]
