Two and a half years ago I walked into a bar in Texas and struck up a conversation with a guy that (to paraphrase), “didn’t like new music. It’s all shit.” With my response being (slightly sarcastic because, really?), “So. What do you like?” And I got the magic answer: A Tribe Called Quest. Lyrics were exchanged (because every Tribe fan should know Check The Rhime instinctively), a certain song from The Love Movement album induced giggles, and because I dearly love a challenge, the Noise Soldiers were born. Through SXSW, The Cool Kids (which put on an [...]

Most of you are probably already familiar with Staygold - the Swedish producer duo of Carli Löf and Måns Glaeser also known as Savage Skulls. Their classic gem, 'Backseat', was remixed by one of our favorite Netherlandic acts, Rimer London. The original version features Spank Rock, Damian Adore and Lady Tigra. There's also an all new video for that song! It's directed by Daniel Wirtberg and Jonas Rudström. 'Backseat' is the first single of the forthcoming debut album of Staygold - it's coming this year!

Look forward to the upcoming Staygold LP, which has been more than a long time coming. Some of you might recognize this song from the Swedish P3 Gold Awards, where Spank Rock and Damien Adore appeared, and Robyn sang Lady Tigra's part. This album has got to be one of my favorites of the last 5 years, and I can't wait until it is properly released (on Magnetron Records home of acts like Le Le), so I'm not the only one raving about them all the time. Sleeping is for cats, people. ps. If you've forgotten the [...]

With Yeti Beats on production, Lady Tigra on lead vocals and Fatlip on the hyped guest verse you really can't go wrong. Play this loud & often while cruising down the PCH in your souped up convertible or beaten down hooptie. Whatever the mode of transportation you'll be sniffing in the good time summer vibes.

So here is a picture of me jamming out on a light up tambourine at Korean karaoke... January has been a shitty month. All the shits happen in January. It's cold, the number of crazies who've stumbled in to work far outweigh the cute and fun people, and to top things off, I need to go to the dentist. Sometimes I hate my life. But I find myself at 6:20am bored out of my mind and playing music way too loud. The one good thing about this year so far? The jams. January and so far February have [...]
Perhaps the hippest kids show on TV these days. And here is Lady Tigra doing some hip thrusts that verge on PG-13, but hey, it's ok if the kiddies get a little turned on, right?

Now that the fall "fatten me up" holiday is behind us, we can look forward to all things merry, green and red, eh? Hailing from Dayton, OH, Ruckus Roboticus has risen to unleash his fury of funk, hip-hop and mischief, all in the form of a super cool mix especially for Christmastime. A Very Daft Punk Christmas is a mega-mix tribute to all things Daft Punk . It's 54 songs in 60 minutes, and features their original tracks, remixes, re-edits, solo-material, side-projects, soundtracks, songs [...]
Parents and stoners (and stoner parents) alert. After a long drought, the final batch of episodes from Season 2 of the toddlericious Yo Gabba Gabba will finally see the light of day shortly, on the channel formerly known as Noggin (to be re-christened Nick Jr, which we were already in the habit of calling it). The week of October 12 will bring five new episodes, featuring guests like Andy Samberg, The Roots (performing "Lovely, Love my Family" ), MGMT and Lady Tigra along with the popular guests segments from Devo [...]

so where's the woofer? The Lady Tigra "Bass On The Bottom" ( coroflot on point)

Featuring the spoken word nonsense of Lady Tigra, the enigmatic and really large NYC group The Phenomenal Handclap Band 's "15 To 203 is less of an exercise in Polyphonic Spree-ish faux-glee than I originally feared. Equal parts funk and L.E.S. manicured carelessness, The PHB deliver a track, like nearly all of theirs, that befits the city it resides in. It's a little difficult to glean a whole lot of concrete information about this collective from their small internet presence, but this band is totes on the rise, chumps. With so many players, "15 To 203 features, as the [...]

...a girl sitting at her kitchen table playing with power tools, metal and pliers. Headphones in and turned up probably way too loud for her hearing to be still intact when she turns 40 and then this song comes on: The Lady Tigra - Bass On The Bottom (Mr. Hahn Remix) I forgot halfway through the song that my blinds were open and that anyone who would happen to walk by my apartment at that point would have seen me dancing around like an idiot. But I was an idiot with [...]

some old school electro bass sounds from lady tigra and the troublemaker remix of her tune 'bass on the bottom'.
