Director Wes Anderson teamed up with animation studio Laika ( Coraline , etc.) for a series of ad spots for Sony's new Android-based Xperia smartphone. Sony asked kids what they thought made the Xperia phones so smart, and then animated their responses. The makers of Coraline , are putting the finishing touches on a stop-motion, ghost-filled zombie comedy in 3D, called ParaNorman. It looks quite good and Laika has assembled the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, John Goodman, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, Elaine Stritch, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Jeff Garlin.
