Spoiler Alert: The chorus of "You vs. Everything" comes back, and when it does it's the greatest moment of the greatest song of the greatest album of the year. In a just world, the song would roll under the credits of dozens of feature-length teen dramedies by the middle of the decade. Or soundtrack montages of the young and the jilted, ditching soul-killing jobs, driving too fast in cars, smashing mailboxes, dreaming big dreams and proceeding with the business of Getting Over It And Getting On With It. In fact, the entirety of Johnny Foreigner 's captivating third LP [...]

The Morr music label, established in 1999 in Berlin, has produced some of the best dreampop/ indietronica I've ever heard. If you haven't heard anything from B. Correatown is the musical project that Angela Correa has brought to life with her bandmates in the Eastside of LA. Over the years Angela and co have released several lo-fi albums and EPs. For their newest release 'Pleiades' have experimented with some different instrumentation and arrangements. Although these tracks may be using less organic sounds [...]

Tweet One of the things I love about writing for this site is the fact that I get to listen to new music on a daily basis. I also love the fact that I just never know when I pop into the inbox what that music is going to be or where it's going to come from. Sure we get our fair share of American/English garage/rock/punk bands and some of them are pretty damn good (and they make it to the site). But what [...]

Portland-based musician and beat-smith Alias (born Brendon Whitney) has been active on the abstract hip hop scene for almost ten years. With a handful of albums under his belt, he is one of the pillars of the avant-guarde hip hop / electronica label anticon. In 2002 Alias concocted his first album-a rap-heavy, poetic and brooding introspective called The Other Side of the Looking Glass , which was followed by his moodier Eyes Closed EP and Muted full-length (2003). In 2005, Alias' collaborated with little brother Ehrento produce an [...]
++ Henry Rollins picks his current Top 5 , and one of them is Gallows ! No big surprise there. Try to beat that stare, Sanjays . ++Hey Wikipedia. Would it killa ya to put a small blue link on the last letter of the last name of Lali Puna 's keyboardist Christian Hei ß . <<Just like that? ( via ) Lali Puna: Move On.mp3
As you've probably seen, Radiohead have put out another record, and there's been loads of the usual hype as the world falls over itself to compare them to ever more bewildering things and/or use them as proof that, see, it's still viable to try and make a living off music: you just have to be Radiohead (what, you mean that's all i have to do?!) As usual, i've been pretty indifferent. i don't really care about Radiohead, beyond finding the enforced reverence for them mildly nauseating. They're pretty much moving into that Beatles [...]

How long that wild rush lasted I have no means of judging. It may have been an hour, a day, or many days, for I was throughout in a state of suspended animation, but presently my senses began to return and with them a sensation of lessening speed, a grateful relief to a heavy pressure which had held my life crushed in its grasp, without destroying it completely. It was just that sort of sensation though more keen which, drowsy in his bunk, a traveller feels when he is aware, without special perception, harbour is reached and a voyage comes [...]

2010 was quite a year. It saw graduations, festivals, a move from Athens to Barcelona, the discovery of a new city, a slight, um, slowing down of our blog activity, a World Cup, many flights (17 for me), and a lot of great music. So, without further ado, we present to you: So, how did we compile this rather fantastic list, you ask? Easy, we consulted our trusty last.fm profiles (see the bottom of this page for our individual profiles). We then each chose our top 25 and [...]

happy new years eve! this is my own personal collection of my favorite songs of 2010. it was a tough decision to narrow down the best from out of 500 tracks, but the below addictions (in no particular order) seemed to take over my speakers for the most of this year. a collection of everything from indie rock, pop, r&b, soul, hip hop, electronica, and acoustics that made music in general feel good again. personally this year was a rollercoaster of happy emotions from moving to florida to starting a new line of jewelry to beginning new friendships to renewing [...]

I'm back again with my second mixtape for mixtape week here at TSURURADIO. This time I went on the mellow side for those times when you're in the mood to just have some easy breezy music going. I'm not reinventing the wheel here, just put together tracks I thought worked well together. Enjoy!! Dorice photography by purpleplaid full zip 01 Quail Lungs - Dumb Dadadum 02 Canon Blue - [...]
After the shut-down amid crowd safety fears the night before, the festival website this morning reveals that the acts on the second day have been rescheduled to allow the event to close at 11.30pm instead of the 6.30am blow-out planned originally. Some acts have been cancelled (including Ireland's Yes Cadets) but most have been pulled back up to earlier in the day and the organisers do all they can to get this info out to the attendees. Sadly we now miss Edwin Collins who starts much earlier in the day but do catch the [...]

Kiedy piszę te słowa na głównej scenie OFF Festivalu kończy się prawdopodobnie koncert The Flaming Lips . Na pewno The Tallest Man on Earth, który swoim [...]
Kontynuując nowohoryzontowe emocje retrospekcimy Hasa i w końcu obejrzeliśmy boski "Rękopis znaleziony w Saragossie". Nic dziwnego! Kto wpadł na pomysł zburzenia dekoracji? Zabrać emeryturę! Tęsknota za Madrytem znajdzie swoje ukojenie być może jeszcze w tym roku, na razie jednak wróćmy do spraw naglących, bo I [...]
