With Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby set to be the most glossy-looking film of the last decade, it was only appropriate that the Queen of melodrama, Lana Del Rey was present on the soundtrack. “Young & Beautiful” sounds almost as an eerie sequel to the song that made her a star “Video Games”. I think even any of her many haters out there can understand how perfect this will work for the film. This is the first single from the soundtrack, due out May 6th.
I am by no means a Lana Del Rey fan, but she sang the shit out of this song. It moved me, the strings version moved me twice as much.
