Mit "Difficult Fun" liefern Larytta das vielleicht innovativste Schweizer Album des Jahres ab. Im 78s-Soundsystem gibts das Debut des Lausanner Duos vorab in voller Länge zu hören. Larytta haben mit ihrem Debut beim Gratismusik-Webring rcrdlbl bereits reichlich Vorschusslorbeeren geerntet: "Difficult Fun is one of the most refreshing crossover of musical styles in recent memory." In der Tat, "Difficult Fun" bietet Bastard-Pop von internationalem Format. Die Clichées über unser Land bedient das Lausanner Duo darauf gleich selbst. [...]

Our very good friends from Lausanne called Larytta are going to release their first LP on October 10th on Creaked Records . Here is a track from the album which is amazing! Larytta - Tous mes amis marc
Maybe it's just us, but fall always seems to be such a depressing time of the year. The sky darkens earlier, the weather gets colder and colder, and aside from a few fortunate lucky kids in Texas, the music festivals are few and far between. Then again, the season does mark a rather stellar time for new music, something certainly reflected in this week's edition of our Friday Mixtape. So maybe things aren't so bad after all... NEW Singles: "Turn Me Off" by Audrye Sessions [...]

Erwin Wurm - Inspection (2002–2003) [From " How To Be Politically Incorrect "] Larytta - Is This Cheese (mp3) : I love the repetition of banal confusion in this track. He cannot remember, he asks questions, he examines faces in a crowd like they're books on a shelf, he wants to know the was party good or if the party was bad. He is staring at his shoes and asking [...]

with so much happening on the dance/ electronica scene these days, it's hard finding the stuff that really stands out. i've been listening to yacht 's "the summer song" for quite a while now, undecided on whether to feature it, especially after the airplay they've been getting after signing with dfa . while it remains an enjoyable fling this season, there's still much room for yacht to grow and mature. i've also been wanting to post on lindstrøm 's new album where you go i go too , but it works so well as a whole [...]

A big high-five goes to Ellie over at Over,Under,Sideways,Down for putting me on to Swiss duo Larytta . Comprised of Guy Meldem and Christian Pahud and founded in 2004, Larytta have released 2 EP's so far and (I think) their debut album Difficult Fun is due for release this year. Whilst their sound is mainly electro-pop, it has elements of hip hop, R&B and soul. Listening to the title track from their second EP - Ya-Ya-Ya , there's a definite carnival vibe, and the [...]

Another Friday means a new Friday Mixtape. This time around in addition to the usual mix of singles, covers, remixes, and other tunes you should check out, we added a few mp3s from artists who will be hitting the stage at this weekend's Outside Lands Music Festival . Consequence of Sound will be live and on site at Outside Lands this weekend to provide recaps, reviews, and interviews of all of this weekend's festivities. Outside Lands FUN: "Heretics" by Andrew Bird [...]

Larytta was founded in 2004 by Swiss Lausanne-based producers-artists Christian Pahud & Guy Meldem. While Guy is renowned in the design business with his company Körner Union, Christian is better known as member of instrumental rock band Honey for Petzi. Larytta's music is done with unstoppable energy and creative ideas, is also hard to categorize. Influenced by a wide range of styles from both the underground and mainstream scene, Larytta brings fresh mixture of electronic, Ghetto Pop and teenage dance music. Done with any compromise, their music is musically defies easy classification or lazy [...]

You remember Four Tet's "She Moves She," about halfway through, how a distorted synthesizer jackknifes through a tinkling, watery bell and string section? It was so sudden that I thought another song had kicked up in the background on my computer the first time I heard it. "Ya-Ya-Ya" by Larytta gives that same distinct impression. It isn't so much about interplay or some sort of magical coalescence of elements here, as it is two separate entities - the vocals and the instrumentation - circling each other like predators from a careful distance, nurturing [...]
Every once in a blue moon, we notice a pattern developing with the artists featured on MML and make an attempt to organize somewhat of a quick reference guide for those who may have just stumbled upon our little music blog. In May 2007, we presented the Shoe(gaze) Cupboard which was a compilation of artists who create music from a particular genre we love. Following the internet(s) attention

Got this track in the mail yesterday and it is totally sweet, sweet hotness. New comer M.I.T.C.H. gets some help from FEADZ & UFFIE and the LARYTTA comes in makes it poppin'. Mmm mmm good! M.I.T.C.H. feat. FEADZ & UFFIE - FAIS RENTRER LES EUROS (LARYTTA REMIX)

Larytta was founded in 2004 by Swiss/Lausanne-based producers/artists Christian Pahud and Guy Meldem. While Guy is renowned in the design business with his company Körner Union, Christian is better known as member of instrumental rock band Honey for Petzi . Christian and Guy have both finished the famous Lausanne-based School Art ECAL. The whole Larytta visual has been done by Körner Union (cover, flyers, posters,…), and connections between music and art is definitively joined for the best. Larytta's music is a bit hard to categorize, electro flavored, funky beats [...]
