The T.E.D.D . boys have been busy since we last visited them, having just finished their remix of Last Japan's 'Jungle Warriors,' the feature track from his upcoming EP, soon to be released on Southern Fried Records . The new darlings of Kissy Sell Out's show on Radio 1, this London pair are scattering their endlessly face-melting wares abroad, theirs a kind of hard-as-nails version of the Midas touch. Keep an eye out for Last Japan's upcoming 'Jungle Warrior' EP and visit T.E.D.D. at their myspace page here . [...]

At Last Japan! I've always had a special place for Japan in my heart! I like the Tech Vs Zen vibe they got going on. Plus all the crazy sub culture and fetishes they squirt out from the cracks under all that pressure from the huge anvil of honor. La Roux - In For the Kill (Last Japan Skream ReEdit) Diplo & Laidback Luke - Hey! (last japan remix) [...]

Chew the Fat, possibly one of my favourite nights when its hosted at the Arches, is putting its July Competition winner - Last Japan - on as its warm up tomorrow. Plugged as a star of the future in their small write up about him on Chew's website, he's already being making large steps and produced his own track, "Oi!" out on Bullet Train Records, it seems to be the standard to produce your own stuff nowadays if you want to set yourself apart from the [...]

So if you haven't noticed, here at PM we like Last Japan's music a lot! So not only am I posting my mix from the show, as well as his butttttt I'm also posting a brand new single from him. Let's talk about this song for a moment. Because I'm digging it. It's a song he did with Crispin J Glover and a new young vocalist [...]

Just got this new track from DJ/Producer Last Japan . Hailing from London, Last Japan has recruited producer Crispin J Glover and female MC Kay Young to produce a stellar beat. This guy has serious credit too. He has done remixes for some of the top artists in the electro scene such as LaidBack Luke, Diplo, Mumdance, Brodinski, Crystal Fighters, on the labels Kitsune, Southern Fried, and Warner Bros.-- a very impressive list indeed. Now to the song The break-beat style track is huge. The drums are large and full and the bassline [...]
(photo by Le Shoot) Dirty, rubbery basslines and devastator synths ring in and out of every crevasse in this track, a new joint called "DJ Saved My Life" from Last Japan featuring the immense vocals from young ruffian/upstart electro R&B...

Last Japan is pretty new to the blog scene but already has a bunch of production under his sleeve. Its a sweet electro groove that this guy is going for, just making tunes for the dance floor. His edit of In for the kill is sweet. It gives a little more depth to an already massive track. Get familiar with Last Japan , you will be hearing a lot more from him in the future. Enjoy. [...]
Last Japan is coming out in a big way! Straight out of london this kid doesn't look much older then I and he's turning out tunes and remixes for some of the biggest artists and labels on the planet. Already getting the nod to do an official for LBL & Diplo monster Hey - he's set for stardom! This is a new remix he just did for Kitsune and I have to say its pretty rad. Can't wait to drop it this weekend! [...]
If the Kitsune-signed Crystal Fighters brand of manic electro doesn't make you want to rip your heart out of your body, hold it in front of your eyes so you can understand its beat all the while screaming to the heavens in a race through a field of jump-cut ecstasy, we don't know anything else that can possibly do the trick. This video, is evidence of the above. The group's first single, "Xtatic Truth" , is sound loops, wobbly bass, computer game howls and cockney everything. It's party music for the brain-soaked masses and [...]
Forget what I've told you about La Roux in the past. When I told you, that her voice annoyed me from time to time, I just didn't see things clearly enough. I think I've realized the truth now: La Roux is fantastic. I've shared my ever-growing love for La Roux many times . Now it's time for yet another round of remixes. Foamo returns with a dubstep remix of Bulletproof following his lovely wobble-infected take and Last Japan re-edits the larger-than-life Skream remix. Right now I don't think the remixes [...]

As dubstep continues along its assent/dissent (delete accordingly) into ludicrous all-out racous rave noise, I thought I'd post some of my current favourite dancefloor orientated dubsteppers. These are the great big dancefloor monsters, verging on electro in terms of sheer maximal bombast and clamour. This isn't the somber, often dark 2-stepper style we associate with Kode9's superb (and my favourite) Hyperdub label, but big bad anthems suitable for tearing excitable dancefloors up. Some of the best dubstep around right now is the quirky, kooky and downright weird stuff from the likes of Zomby, Scuba, Martyn, Ramadanman, King Midas Sound [...]

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Here at Penned Madness we take drinking holidays very seriously. In fact, half of our team have already been drunk since midnight. We like to celebrate early. So while you guys are indulging in your tacos/burritos that you either got from Tijuana Flats, Chipotle, or Moe's you should enjoy some music - that has abso-fucking-lutley nothing to do with this holiday! First up is a new sing from Last Japan. It's a great peak hour electro ripper called Oi! Though no affiliation with Oi punk stemming from Last Japans native waters. [...]
> La Roux - In For The Kill [...]
Last Japan is a producer hailing from London and is due to release his Ep 'Oi' on the 28th, as a fan of this dude I feel I should do my best to big this guy up. I first heard Last Japan on the Kissy Sell Out show on radio 1, and was pretty much [...]
