If I put my grudge towards this track for featuring a squealing Akon hook aside, I really love it for Roth's portions. I didn't even post this track on it's initial release because I didn't want to perpetuate Akon's popularity. After seeing the video, I have to post it. I love the comic book theme. The concept behind this video is dope and the editing is even better. Asher has been to the top of the mountain and now he is fighting to respect in the competitive Hip Hop industry. Hopefully we will see a new project from Asher this year.

Asher Roth returns to the scene here with the pretty impressive video to his new single "Last Man Standing". The video which is directed by Luke Tedaldi sees Akon on the hook and will be present on the new Madden '12 soundtrack. "Last Man Standing" is dark, aggressive, and visually arresting, thanks to director Luke Tedaldi (who also did Asher's 'Gotta Get Up' video) and cartoonist Chris Hunt. It's a live action x illustration combination that we've seen before, but when done well, still thrills.
