Our favorite House track this week is Punx by Tristian Garner, as soon as 2:30 and 4:00 drops it's just simply amazing. The upbeat progression mixed with the Daft Punk synth makes it a clear winner. Now taking a few steps away from the hard house you have a track like Belina by Beltek which shows it can be just as amazing as Punx but in an entirely different way. The soft beats put you in a calm place whenever you listen to it. So many great house tracks out this year it's amazing. We have plenty more tracks but [...]

I recently started using Nexus and for those of you not familiar with it it's a Studio program like FL Studio. Anyways I found out quickly how big of a Nexus Preset whore (excuse my language) Avicii is, not that I think he lacks talent (or like I could do any better) but it definitely dims down his hype. Really you can put together his highly acclaimed anthem pretty quickly once you file through the Nexus presets and extensions and what do you know you got the basics of Levels. I still like his music but I can agree with [...]

Refresh, refresh, refresh. Random clicking. Waiting—if you've tried to go on Souncloud.com this week, there's a strong chance you did at least one of those actions. The genius website that allows users to upload their own music and listen to tunes from their favorite artists personal pages has been, historically, a little buggy. A player won't play, a page won't load. It can be spotty, but it comes with the territory. This week, however, a pair of distributed denial of service (Ddos) attacks crippled the website, Alex Ljung , Soundcloud co-founder [...]

The latest and greatest from Mr. Sidney Samson, this one was massive enough to find its way onto Moby's recent Beatport chart (alongside some other rather prime beats). Sidney Samson - Punkass (Original Mix) This next one is a really chill, more downtempo track, perfect for late nights or similar listening situations. Also be sure to check out Sei A's recent mix for Resident Advisor's

After an indescribable weekend at Lightning in a Bottle , I am back and feeling amazing. Keep an eye out for a post-event article in the coming weeks! So it's about to be June and summer is definitely settling in, which is awesome. Something as simple as eating breakfast outside in the sun is enough to keep in a very good mood for the rest of the day. Anyway, I apologize for leaving without notice, so I have these three excellent tunes to make up for it. Take it easy and get these bumpin' [...]

Kaskade has added his remixing touch to his band Late Night Alumni. For those who aren't familiar with the band, they've been active since the middle part of the past decade. Their sound combines dance music, strings, and trancey vocals from lead singer Becky Jean Williams. The music, as you would have guessed from their name, is perfect for a late night party. Becky's soft vocals, pure and gentle as they are, give off a certain aura of quiet, sensational power. Combined with the band's talent, everything comes together perfectly in a sound that keeps you going into the early [...]

Genre: Dream-pop, shoegaze, indie electronica For Fans Of: Sally Shapiro , Late Night Alumni , M83 , Imogen Heap I first discovered Caroline Lufkin back in freshman year of college. I'd heard nothing about her, except that she was the sister of J-Pop star Olivia Lukin (who I absolutely adore). Knowing only this and nothing else, I took a dive and checked out her debut album, Murmurs . As it turns out, the two couldn't be more different: Olivia has a [...]
Massive big room anthems are becoming a regular thing for Kaskade. Following up on a 2010 that was nothing short of collosal, his first release of 2011, a remix of Late Night Alumni's single It's Not Happening, shows him poised to take things even bigger this year. Aside from his solo stuff, Kaskade's melodic house group, Late Night Alumni, has their first scheduled album, Haunted coming out

As my Muusers may already know, I'm a massive fan of both Kaskade and his side outfit, Late Night Alumni . Lush dream-pop? Always and forever, please! Today the band released "It's Not Happening," the lead single from their third studio album Haunted , which is due out on February 8. ( LISTEN ) While the song's skittering trip-hop beat is slightly more uptempo than the band's usual output, the warm, setting sun electronica wisps and hazy blips of electronica recall the classic work of Late Night Alumni. "It's Not [...]
Chicago Born, San-Fran based, American DJ/Producer extraordinaire Ryan Raddon, better known as Kaskade, has been tearing it up for almost a decade now, defining and crafting a unique sound that's unlike anything out there. His older productions are more in the realm of downtempo, warm, lounge-house, but most people know him for the uplifting progressive sound that he's pioneered over the past few

Late Night Alumni is a house group composed of Ryan Raddon, aka Kaskade, and a couple others. They are mainly known for their smooth, chill, and soft-trancey infused vibe. Paying homage to their name, it really is late night music. I've always been a big fan. Here is a new dose, and an old dose, of some Late Night Alumni. Cheers. -lev new: Jesu Parvule (Original Mix) - Late Night Alumni old: Another Chance (Kaskade's Homage to Roger Remix) - Late Night Alumni

by teepoo When I asked for a topic for this week's playlist the first person to answer was @dysonsound and he said "Disney". I'll take a more interesting route and not give you the originals (as much as I love the original Disney tracks) and give you some music inspired by Disney movies. Make your listening experience more enjoyable with ExtensionFM 1. Pogo- Toyz Noize [...]
Ryan Raddon, aka Kaskade , has been vacaying in my ears for a long time. His newest album entitled "Dynasty" dropped a little bit ago and has been growin on me over the weeks. It's a little more lively then I expected as I've been used to his 6AM-surreal-late night alumni-esque melodies. Nevertheless, there still vacayrific. Here are some of my favorites and as you can tell I like the more classic Kaskade tracks. Perfect for those late nights where your physically all vacayed out, but your mentally elevated. Filed under: Video , Exclusive Everybody loves dancing. And on that note, Late Night Alumni aim to please with their ethereal house-rocking dance music. So when we see a sign at the beginning of their video for 'Finally Found' that reads "Public Dancing -- Tonight," it seems like just the kind of sign we've been waiting for. But remember: everybody loves dancing, not just house music junkies and raver kids. So when you hear Becky Jean Williams sing "I'm finally found," be careful not to assume [...]

Ryan Reddon (aka Kaskade) is one of my favorite dance and electronica producers. He is one of those rare dancefloor talents who not only understands how to work the turntables, but also is a gifted songwriter with a knack for melody, which enables him to reinvent existing tracks in a completely new way. After releasing his fifth artist album "Strobelight Seduction' two years ago," he is now back with Late Night alumni, a band he formed with Becky Jean Williams, Finn Bjarnson and John Hancock back in 2003. The quartet released their debut album in [...]
