Ultra blissed and blown-out new demo from Austin's Lay Bac that is sounding pretty sick in all its roughness; unsure as to whether it'll receive the gloss that previous tracks like "Stay Out Tonight" have but for now it slots in pretty nicely somewhere between the lo-fi jubilance of Sun Araw and Youth Lagoon . The Orb's 1991 album, The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld, was very influential at the time and spawned the timeless hit 'Little Fluffy Clouds'. Using various samples (the most recognisable being the electric guitar from Steve Reich's excellent composition "Electric Counterpoint", and the harmonica sample taken from Ennio Morricone's "The Man With The Harmonica") the original track mixes sound effects, vocal samples, & dubby bass with ambient house.
