You might have heard of these dudes before. Spawned around the San Francisco Bay, Low Limit from Portland, Oregon (who has since been a Brainfeeder favourite) and Lando Kal (who moved to New York, now Berlin) formed as one under the name Lazer Sword . They've released a split 123 on Glasgow's Numbers label, and an album on Innovative Leisure . Seperately, Lando has released stuff on Numbers , Amsterdam's Rush Hour and London's Hotflush , whilst Low Limit has put out on Manchester's Fat City [...]

I'm totally stoked to share some amazing new sounds with everyone today! Fabian who has never stopped exceeding all expectations has elevated and levitated his sound to a whole new level. His new single gives us something real crispy for us dance music lovers. This sounds like something we would all expect from Afrojack if he took up Nu Disko, or if Moullinex and Mr. Afrojack did some sort of hybrid collabo of the century! The sound is infectious and only makes me want MORE! We can't wait to hear more tracks like this [...]

hovatron - "cold game stupid" (download) Nice little banger of a track from Hovatron 's limited Digital EP that came out a little while back. I saw him perform in San Francisco with Megasoid and Lazer Sword , and he blew me away. He has a super high tech website that you can check out right here . You can also buy some of his music directly from him right here .

The long awaited EP by Foreign Beggars is available now! The EP features original material produced by Skrillex, Mensah, Alix Perez, Black Sun Empire, Lazer Sword and Ruckspin & Medison. Buy it here .

Lando Kal -remember the name. Some of you may recognise him as one half of Lazer Sword , the West Coast duo whose self-titled 2010 LP received criticism for sounding more like a pastiche of the Ed Banger back catalog than anything original. Since that release, Lando has relocated to the home of electronic introspection, and boy has Berlin has done wonders for his music! The fact that his first solo EP is dropping on London's forward thinking Hotflush imprint is definitely a good sign, and the two tracks on the EP show an artist [...]

Just to add to my attraction to 90s R&B sampling in a modern electronic way, here comes Lando Kal 's "Further". He flipped SWV's " You're The One " into a funky garage tune.

[Hotflush Recordings] ( buy vinyl ) ( buy mp3s ) As one half of Lazer Sword, Lando Kal is responsible for some of the funkiest bleep and beats found on the West Coast. Inspired by hip-hop, glitch, and the sonic rhythms of California, this duo has released many party anthems and mixtapes, culminating in a self-titled album for Innovative Leisure last year. On his own, however, Lando Kal has transplanted to Berlin and the change in locale shows on his debut single for Hotflush. Recalling the recent work of FaltyDL [...]

Low Limit - Trapperkeeper Lando Kal - Fuzzy Ankles Lazer Sword - Koopa Boss Mode [...]

The Postal Service , an offshoot music project by the singer from Death Cab for Cutie, was famous for its teeny-bopping beats and strangely novel (and eponymous) method of collaboration between the two musicians who comprised the group. The singer and producer would mail each other parts of songs, working on them individually and then sending them back. Many artists found in the past few years that you don't have to be in the same room to collaborate. Lazer Sword , a duo originating from the Bay Area, does just that-and then some. With one [...]

WORD
This year brought a musical ton of singles, albums, EPs, downloads, compilations, mixes, and new artists. In this spirit, I've chosen to make my year-end examination a multi-part extravaganza charmingly called LAS, 2010 . Instead of saving the "best albums" list for the end, I'm kicking it off with that venerable music critic's mainstay. This is my statement on the 15 best music releases this year, mostly albums, with an EP and a compilation thrown in for good measure. Without further ado: [...]
Here's a few gems I've come across in my holiday travels. We have a few end of year posts planned so stay tuned. Terror Danjah was nice enough to put a bunch of grime from his label, hardrive up grab it here. Grab some more from the stellar Butterz record label over here. DJ Sabo ... Read more

Lazer Sword is back and they have come with the heat we have been waiting for from them all year. They recently dropped their new self-titled album and this shit is going to be echoing into the far reaches of space for centuries to come. Lazer Sword has totally brought their A GAME, bringing the sounds of the future to your headphones. There is not one ounce of this album that doesn't reflect the intergalactic, space, glitch hop, 8-bit sound that only Lazer Sword could rock this hard. I really cannot stress to you enough to [...]
