bartlomein - "dead right" (download) There's not a whole lot of information floating around about Bartlomein . He's based just outside of NYC in Bergen County, NJ. Here, he flips a classic Biggie track into something completely new. Be on the lookout for this guy. If the songs he has up for free on his Bandcamp page are any indication, this guy has the potential to come up fast.
When Tim "Terrorbird" said there'd be new Rainbow Arabia songs and new Hecuba haircuts at this show, I blushed, "Hecuba Haircuts?!!" —Wow, a lot of them hairs was snipped. No bodysuit (Jerry) or wife beater (Tom) on these bods tonight. Instead, closed collar black long-sleeve shirts and matching sweatshop slippers, a lack of facial hair [...]

machinedrum - "all apologies" (download) From the brand new, limited edition 7" compilation Nerdvana , released by Mental Monkey Records . Nerdvana features indie electronic acts trying their hand at their favorite Nirvana tracks. Here, Travis Stewart (better known as Machinedrum ) tries his hand at "All Apologies", resulting in a tweaked out, beautiful mess. Machinedrum releases stuff on Merck Records, as well as his own Normrex label, and can be seen out and about doing shows with the likes [...]

Winnie! I've got one huge remix and a Glitch-hop mixtape for you. This remix of slayer sounds like it could have been done by Soulwax. Soooo awesome. Holds to the original and is perfect for the random drop at the club. It's off the Database Ugly Edits Vol. 2 album floating around the net. Slayer-Raining Blood (Sexistalk Re-Edit) And this mixtape by Lazer Sword has been stuck in my car for about a month now. Classic top 40 hip hop verses over glitchy electro [...]

Bomarr Blog homie NastyNasty has just released a FREE EP called Heavy Little Things . I'm REALLY enjoying this. There's nothing I love more than getting something for free and having it blow me away. You can grab this hot little digital treat right here . Recommended if you like dubby, nasty, glitchy, electronic goodness that makes your headphones smile. He has a new EP coming out on Frite Nite this fall. myspace [...]
Today saw the release of Peaceblaster: The New Orleans Make It Right Remixes , with 30 big name remixers including the likes of Chrome Kids favourites Daedelus , Glitch Mob , Lazer Sword & Flying Skulls donated their time and skill (along with many of the other people involved with the album) to expertly re-craft a bunch of STS9 tracks with all of the proceeds from sales going to Brad [...]

It's a good day to be bumping some hard as nails Mochipet tracks. Not only is the programming exquisite in them, but Mochipet definitely keeps it bangin' and would make a dance floor get up to these tracks. So this post is about the relatively recent Mochipet record Master P On Atari (Released: 04/07/2009). The album is a structured collision of all kinds of styles of music (lots of electronic influence) that somehow works and you can't help but nod your head to it. If you're feeling The Glitch Mob [...]

Lazer Sword: We normally aren't all that into M.I.A. Something about her whole image is so irritating. Maybe it's because she classifies her music as simply "Other," refusing to pick a genre. We've got news for every artist out there trying to claim their music is "unclassifiable:" all of you music can be described with genres at the end of the day. The trend for artists to say their music can't be nailed down most likely stems from thinking along the lines [...]

So, what better day of the year to set off your craziest hipster fashions than on Halloween? These are friends of Lazer Sword .

We just discovered the awesome twosome that is Lazer Sword . Their record, "Blap To The Future Megamix," blows anything Girl Talk has done out of the water. Of course, perhaps Lazer Sword is more comparable to The Glitch Mob , but what they're doing with the techie style of glitch hip-hop is innovative and catchy as hell (we therefore highly recommend you listen to the mix below to hear for yourself)! "Blap To The Future" is available for download here.
Lazer Sword - Blap to the Future Megamix Future Blappin' with Lazer Sword XLR8R Podcast Yeah Vid, podcast & mixtape are a lil bit dated but this shit is still the future + I feel like these kids dont get enough shine http://www.myspace.com/lazersw ord

So we just came across two artists that we're pretty into. You know those moments where you hear tracks and straight from the beginning you know you're onto something? That's the impression we got with Lunice and Lazer Sword . More from Lazer Sword to come. "Hood Rich [Chilly C]:" "Throw Some D's [Rich Boy]:" "The Boss [Rick. Ross ft. T-Pain]:" [...]
Quite possibly one of the most fun things I did while in LA was to attend Low End Theory , a gathering of local and visiting electro-glitch-hop performers that was worth every penny. Given the schedule, I held down while in LA I rarely did much of anything, but managed to hit up Low End Theory a few times...which says a lot. I got to see Daedelus do an amazing and varied set on his magical Monome , as well I got to see Jel (a member of both Subtle [...]

A golden in rule of blogging, is never draw any attention to lack of posts. Well Fuck that cos I've been busy taking Man Bites Blog into the real world. What manifested was the afore-posted party. Whitney Et Schumacher , Neon Skullz , and DJ Dials . It was big - not in terms of numbers - Where were you when I needed ya, huh? But in terms of music and misadventure. Whitney Et Schumacher stole the show, whatever that actually means. First by almost killing someone in their dash to [...]
