Part of the TDE crew of LA rappers including Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul continues in the ways of socially conscience rappers like Mos Def. Be sure to check out his side project Black Hippy with his TDE label mates, and frequent collaborations with the likes of A$AP Rocky and Childish Gambino. ♩Ab-Soul - Illuminate (feat. Slashing up various dancefloors in the same exact fashion that Call Of Duty : Black Ops II had on its very first day of release, is Lazy Jay’s next production box tick-off coming in the shape of will.i.am & Britney Spears’ ‘Scream & Shout.’ Alongside his top end n’ phazey ‘Express Yourself’ remix from Labrinth (which works extremely better as a blatant instrumental), Lazy Jay’s effective stabs & EFX choice makes ‘Scream & Shout’ (with video) a popular dance track that fails not to catch your attention. The message is loud & clear folks; and if you didn’t know [...]

GirlsLoveDJs takes Azealia Banks’ track from one year ago and turns this active ball of frustration into one unusual pumpin’ thumper that makes as much sense as a coherent chap stating his case. GirlsLoveDJs chalk another one up the genuine and workaholic fans. AZEALIA BANKS feat. LAZY JAY - 212 (GirlsLoveDJs Bootleg)

Interscope/Polydor recording artist Azealia Banks will release her EP 1991 digitally on May 29 with a physical version to follow on June 12. Azealia Banks, the 20-year-old rapper/singer from Harlem, topped NME 's Cool List and ranked in the Top 3 of the BBC Sounds of 2012 poll . "What's fresh about Banks is how she combines audacious charisma with lyrical naughtiness and genre hopscotching," said Interview while V Magazine observed: "Her rapid-fire, crystalline raps are astounding in [...]
Well, this is certainly a collaboration that was "written in the stars." It seemed only a matter of time until the omnipresent Diplo took an interest in the compelling, young rapper Azealia Banks . Although the specific details of this collab are unknown for the time being, it makes sense that Diplo would be the one to seek out Azealia. You have to admit, the guy's got a real knack for picking out up-and-coming hip-hop/pop stars. Nevertheless, "up-and-coming" feels like an understatement when referring to Banks' catapult launch to blogosphere ubiquity. With big [...]

Azealia Banks with Cornell West | photo by Kate Perkins AiMT has been a ghost town for two months, but the hiatus is ending now in a big way. The next post will be the debut of something BIG for this site, mainly because it will provide content on a regular basis in a format that will be a lot easier for me to stay on top of regularly and naturally. While I'm putting the finishing touches on it, I thought I'd share some new heat by [...]

Belgian DJ Lazy Jay, the man inadvertently responsible for producing Azealia Banks' hit "212," is a great remixer, too. His takes on Conor Maynard's "Girls" are catchy. My personal favorite is the "future retro" edit, largely because it manages to channel "Right Round" and not sound three decades out of place. David Guetta played this very not safe for work remix of "2123 by Azealia Banks at his Roseland Ballroom show last night. Dance music's resident hippie, Tommie Sunshine, and the Disco Fries collaborated to take the original version of "2123 and turn it into a dance floor ready banger. By electrifying the original bass line and sprinkling in some dutch percussion, they successfully took Banks' rap swag and meshed it with house rhythms. Sunshine is giving away the edit for free so there's no excuse not to add this one to your library. [...]
Our new friend Killed It from London sent us his latest remix over the weekend and now it's being released exclusively to our readers & his Soundcloud followers before anyone else. To say that Killed It did anything less than murder the Harlem-bred Azealia Banks' original song, '2122 would be downright foolish. Not gonna lie, I [...]

Love Azealia Banks' "2123? After a extended edit to drop into your sets? Fancy it with abit of a house injection? Well...I might just have your answer... Azealia Banks Feat. Lazy Jay - 212 (Tommie Sunshine & Disco Fries Remix) The legend of the subtle remix, Tommie Sunshine, has joined forces with Disco Fries to extend this already monster track into a longer dancefloor hit whilst adding a little bit of extra sunshine of his own. AZEALIA BANKS paso a dar un salto al frente de la escena electro o clubbing de la mano de LAZY JAY con "212", en lo personal la conoci con el ultimo Mixtape que lanzo el buen FATBOY SLIM. Aca les dejo este edit de la dupla TOMMIE SUNSHINE & THE DISCO FRIES el cual funciona en su momento cumbre de una manera algo... epica. AZEALIA BANKS made a big step into the electro club escene thanks to the work she did with LAZY JAY "212" track, personally i found her into a great mixtape from [...]

Heard this song awhile ago from a friend, only to learn that Tommie Sunshine & Disco Fries decided to rework it into a club monster. It's a free download for all who like it, '2122 from Azealia Banks featuring Lazy Jay now has officially been made a 128 BPM weapon so DJs take note. With constant tweets about upcoming projects and releases, the future looks good for this insane collaborative trio. Azealia Banks feat. Lazy Jay - 212 (Tommie Sunshine & Disco Fries Edit)
