Los Angeles' Le Face have a cool Warsaw meets Wire post-punk thing going on. This track in particular, from their 1st LP Isolation has been on repeat a bunch this week. It's time. Stop listening to whatever it is your abusing your ears with and check out our latest infatuation, Le Face . Here's what we think we know about 'em, thanks to the nice people over at the Dead Beat Records site: Le Face formed in 2006. They're from Whittier, California. They've apparently beaten up some audience members and so on, resulting in certain clubs banning the band -not the end of the world, it happens. Also, Le Face may have some "chemical dependency issues" and/or DUI's and sometimes don't play when they're supposed to. [...]
With a name inspired in equal parts by La Peste and Le Shok, Le Face know what they are aiming for when creating a classic punk record. They draw from the catchy post-punk attack of songs like "Better Off Dead" and "Color Scheme," yet speed them up and dirty them down to make one of the best punk records to come out of the state since the turn of the century.
