Chunksaah Records has added Ensign , H2O , Up For Nothing , Leftover Crack , Plow United and Detournement to the remaining two dates of the Bouncing Souls ' Home for the Holidays shows. Last week, the label confirmed to us that The Explosion will be reuniting for a one-off performance opening for The Bouncing Souls as well. Other confirmed openers include Title Fight , White Wives , Blacktop Kids, The Holy Mess and Luther [...]
Last night (this morning?) on the Radio 1 Rock Show, Reading & Leeds Festivals confirmed the line-up for the Lock Up Stage - the two days of the festival where the third biggest stage is given over to punk. And despite us often joking among ourselves that it always seems to be 20 bands picked [...]

Asbury Lanes was host to a night of punk music on Sunday, March 13. The place was slow to fill but by the time the band Static Radio came on the crowd was definitely ready.
Man, you know there's no such thing as Leftover Crack! The most prolific of the crack rock steady bands, and it all started with a little EP called 40 Oz To Freed... oh wait, no that's Sublime. I meant Rock The 40 Oz.Say whatever you want about Leftover Crack (well, think it over a bit first, maybe sleep or meditate on it), calling them immature or whatever but nobody mixes ska with punk/
So, it turns out that I got sick a-fucking-gain, hence the lack of posts here at the Housewives. To top it off, I'm going to be leaving for a wedding for a few days.... so you won't hear anything from me on Thurs, Fri, and Mon. There is a lot of solid shit that needs to be posted soon though: Sakes Alive newest jams, Philly's local Minor Disturbance to name another. I swear next week, I'll have

A little over a week ago we got an e-mail from our friends Trash Talk with the simple subject of "Australia is awesome," listing their recently confirmed dates with The Casualties and Leftover Crack . Now that we've gotten off our lazy asses to edit and post the 4/20 video interview we did with them, we can share their recently announced U.S. tour, which kicks off this Thursday, May 21 at the Chaos in Tejas Fest in Austin, TX. The [...]
So, I made a mix the other day for Zombie Jesus, and a few of you wrote to me complaining the Leftover Crack song wasn't working... Soooo... sorry about that, here's a little crack rock steady mix for you... some of my personal favorite songs from the crack rock steady family.MP3:Choking Victim - Money INDK - Start it UpLeftover Crack - Gay Rude Boys UniteLeftover Crack - Stop the InsanityMorning

I posted a few months ago about the doings of one Ezra Kire and the many punk fires he has an iron in. One of the bands I mentioned was Leftover Crack. I had meant to get back around to posting some of their music and, for whatever reason, that didn't happen. Until now. By way of a little background – and a warning if this sort of thing offends you – Leftover Crack is, uh, sort of controversial. They have been banned from several New York [...]
This dude is a fucking bastard.Ahh yes, wintertime. Where it's too damn cold to go outside, so we all stay in and get the flu. I haven't posted here in a few days because for the most part, I've been in bed, completely passed out.I must have been really messed up in the head with the 103 degree fever, because I even gave the band Poison a chance, and now feeling a bit better, I ask myself: "
A friend and I had a punk rock radio show back when we were in college. We had a total of two listeners... Me and him (and not always either... seriously). Like most music snobs, I completely hate the radio (but like parenthesis). For some reason, punk bands like to sing about the radio quuuiite a bit, I'm guessing it's a Sylvester-Tweety bird situation. Pursue it, but you're never going to

Ahh man, Abandon Ship...Jesus Christ! Bad Religion meets the Refused. Queens of the Stone Age meets Blanks 77. Get Up Kids meets Archers of Loaf... Channels 3x4 meets Dr. Feelgood meets Electric Soft Parade meets Elliott meets Gallows meets The Stooges meets Jesus Lizard meets Leftover Crack meets Les Savy Fav meets The Thermals. And eventually, they kind of sound like Nation of Ulysses if they had gotten together on the west coast. I really like these guys a lot. I don't know what else to say about [...]

Is there a better way to start your month then going to a Leftover Crack show? I think not. Last night I went to go see them at the Trocadero, and my predictions of it being completely packed was correct. I went a little later, so I got there just in time for Mischief Brew. Mischief Brew Mischief Brew is a punk/folk band from Philly, and while most of their recorded stuff is acoustic, they play plugged in live. Sounding like a mix between World [...]
A week and a half ago, the fucking Morbid Mobile unexpectedly bit the dust and this has seriously affected both my focus and my morning commute to work. A lot of people understand the feelings that I'm currently experiencing in relation to this tragic alteration in my morning transportation routine. The thing with it is though, like so many other things in life, you really appreciate what you have after it's violently taken away from you and you're forced to adapt to the subsequent changes. This morning, the parking meter spat out only $2 of my change along with [...]

So I joined my work's running team. I'm a little worried since I think they're much more hardcore than me. My approach to running is… well lets call it slackadaisical... I was at CNN.com checking on the primaries when I saw the headline "Fun-loving '1234' singer has breakout year," I immediately clicked the link curious to see if there was really a CNN article about Catch 22. Of course it was about Feist. *sigh* MP3: Catch 22- 12341234 MP3: Feist- 1234 Buy: Catch 22 Feist And I wasn't planning on posting this since it's not so appropriate but what the heck- MP3: Leftover Crack- Super [...]
I have just recently been introduced to this band, the Leftover Crack. They are a ska punk band out of New York City, USA. Some of their songs are pretty metal, specifically death metal. Their songs bash sexism, homophobia, religion, racism, police, breeding, fascism, capitalism, and government. Fuck World Trade is their latest CD, it was released in 2004. In it, you can hear the references to the fact that their first album, Mediocre Generica (originally named 'Shoot The Kids At School' but was turned down), was released on the day of the September 11th attack. Here are [...]
I was a bit of a late bloomer when it came to my introduction and subsequent love affair with punk rock. I was in my late teens, and at that time, my musical tastes leaned towards Top 40 and rap. I was a child of the 80's and I worshipped a lot of the New Wave music of that era, as well as what is now known as old school rap. One of my best friends was a punk aficionado and after months of trying, he finally got me to cave in and listen to some tracks by bands such [...]
