Legs Like Tree Trunks are an indie band from Pittsburgh with an Americana style, creating beautiful music with soft, dreamy vocals made for nice quiet evenings alone. Their self-titled EP features the track "Dick Whitman" which apparently refers to the Mad Men character Don Draper's true identity. It's a pretty good track with some interesting lyrics, with twinkling guitars and the previous mentioned vocals swaying over-top creating an amazing sound. Truth be told, I intended to write a Song Diary for a Legs Like Tree Trunks tune and could not, for the life of me, even whittle my choices down to one song. I mean, they only have a 6-song EP under their belt, it shouldn't be that hard to just pick one, right?
