Leif Vollebekk's debut release "Inland" is roughly 40 minutes to think, zone out, or wash away some form of stress you didn't even know you had. Leif is a singer and songwriter, but I hate to limit him with that label. "Inland" goes way beyond the style of a traditional singer/songwriter. His name is Leif Vollbekk , (seriously?) and he is absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful and plays the kind of soulful folk that captivates listeners. After a few listens I drew comparisons with Jeff Buckley, The Tallest Man On Earth, Fionn Regan and Damien Rice.
