Love Lenny Kravitz, he's got flawless songs such as my long time favorite I Belong to You. Nice for...

I denne omgang af FFT, har vi hævet indsatsen. Normalt smider vi kun 5 tracks ud pr. FFT-post, men vi kunne ikke nænne af sortere et track fra denne bunke, så i stedet får I det hele. God weekend. Literally by the hour, Velvet Revolver resembles more of a train wreck than an actual band these days. First off, there was that internal difference of affairs between Scott Weiland and the rest of the group, which resulted in Weiland reuniting Stone Temple Pilots and going on tour with them. Then came the almost hiring of former Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon and the whole Lenny Kravitz debacle. And finally, the rumors that the original Guns 'N Roses had finally settled their differences - agree to reunite over Dr. [...]
Oddly enough the first time I ever hear "The Freshman" was at an open mic night at the UIUC Courtyard Cafe back in the fall of 1996. Some guy was playing the song when I commented to Kris, "That is a really great song," only to hear him reply, "It's a cover." That doesn't change the fact that the song is good. That and I really hate Lenny Kravitz. Really. MP3 | The Verve Pipe - The Freshman [...]
The weather may be up to Glastonbury standards. But the line up certainly isn't. It's hard to decide which is more depressing. The grey blanket of cloud and drizzle that covers the entire V Festival site or the unexciting choice of bands on offer today. It's a tough call. Both offer a pretty gloomy outlook. As we stand waiting for The Feeling to take the stage, the music starts to edge it. Safe, bland, unadventurous. All these words and more spring to mind. You can't help assume The Feeling [...]

The Velvet Revolver soap opera continues, as official sources announced that they are still loking for somebody to replace Scott Weiland. This comes as a shock, at least to me, because the word was out that the former Spacehog frontman was already the man for the job. It really gives you a bad feeling when you write something that turns out to be incorrect, but I can definitely say it wasn't our fault. The reports suggesting Royston Langdon is in line to become the new singer of Velvet Revolver were not just rumours. Perhaps this was [...]

Thanks to a report in yesterday's edition of The Sun , rumors began to circulate that Lenny Kravitz had been tapped as the new frontman for Velvet Revolver . While the U.K. paper's only evidence behind the story was an apparent jam session between Kravitz and the former members of Guns 'n Roses, much of the internet took the story as true and ran with it, and understandably so. Velvet Revolver is already essentially a group of all-stars, just imagine the sounds that would be produced if the 44-year-old, New York native [...]
Lenny Kravitz debunked rumors that he would be giving up his solo career to join up with his former high school classmate Slash in Velvet Revolver. If ever there was a rock star that seemed perfectly suited to be ensconced in velvet, it would be Kravitz. However, as Lenny tells Rolling Stone, "I know and love the Velvet Revolver guys but there is no truth to the story about me joining their band.
This week, rocker Lenny Kravitz , 44, was rumored to become the next frontman for Velvet Revolver . He had been seen in the studio with the band, which features former Guns ???n??? Roses guitarist Slash and who were looking for a well known vocalist to replace original singer, Scott Weiland on their new record. Weiland left the band in April 2008. The British newspaper, The Sun , quoted a band source as saying 'Velvet Revolver???s new album will draw heavily on their messy split with Scott. The band wanted a big [...]

The truth quotient of the rumor that Lenny Kravitz would be replacing Weiland as the lead singer of Velvet Revolver has plummeted from 38% to zero, if Kravitz's just-issued statement to Rolling Stone is to be believed. "I know and love the Velvet Revolver guys but there is no truth to the story about me joining their band," he told the magazine. Looks like bloggers everywhere will have this story to kick around for a little longer! But where will it go next? Now Kravitz has joined [...]
I gotta say, I'm loving this "Who will be the new singer for Velvet Revolver?" guessing game. I'm probably having way more fun with all the rumors than I will with the actual band once they do announce a replacement for Scott "My Days on this Earth are Surely Numbered" Weiland. The latest probably-not-true bit of [...]

Well I was wondering what Lenny Kravitz was up to since we last heard from him. Sure, he had that embarrassing toilet problem , but the last time he made new music? Lenny Kravitz is set to release his 8th studio album, entitled It Is Time For A Love Revolution , on February 5. This will be Kravitz's first new release in over three years. Here's the lead single. I'll Be Waiting

Lenny Kravitz 's latest effort lands early next month and it's tracklist has just surfaced, recently. The new record, titled " It Is Time for a Love Revolution ," spreads across 14 tracks including the already first two announced singles "Bring It On" and "I'll Be Waiting." After some early sampling the record sounds terribly promising, a real treat to start off the new year. The album is out February 5. "I love this record and the feel of the record," Kravitz said in a statement. "I felt like a kid playing in [...]

Bloc Party 's new single named Flux has just been released. I suppose you could say the track is nothing like Bloc Party at all, which is a very good thing - its more energetic, has more power and will probably replace that overplayed "Banquet" remix that _still_ gets dropped at clubs/parties... *sigh*, move on dammit!! NME have released a special remixes EP in their latest mag which has a wide variety of remixes: an 'electro-esk' JFK remix to even a more soothing 'rockier/vocodered/synthed' GoodBooks remix which is my pick of [...]
