The late Band drummer Levon Helm purchased a 2010 Mercedes Benz Roadtrek RS-Adventurous to enjoy traveling and touring in comfort before he passed away last April. There's a Levon Helm documentary? Hellz to the muthafucking yes. Levon Helm was/is on my list for "if you could have three people over for dinner" question. I would just have him read me food labels and other mundane things. His voice is that good.

As we've been mentioning , the Levon Helm documentary Ain't In It For My Health put together by filmmaker Jacob Hatley goes into wider release this month will runs at Cinema Village in NYC and a premiere party at Levon Helm Studios. SXSW Music has just announced a special Levon Helm Tribute and Benefit that will be held at Austin's Auditorium Shores on Saturday, March 16th. This "all-day concert" will feature the Midnight Ramble Band (formerly known as the Levon Helm Band) fronted by Amy Helm with "special guests." As crazy as it sounds, I held out hope that Robbie Robertson would honor his former band mate Levon Helm at The Grammys last Sunday. You're probably familiar with the story that Robertson visited his ex-best friend last April while he was on his deathbed. Robbie didn't attend the funeral and according to Don Imus, a close friend of Levon's, Helm still held a grudge even after Robertson's visit.
