San Francisco noise band Deerhoof will release its eleventh studio album, Breakup Song , on September 4th via Polyvinyl (Joyful Noise will also release a limited run of 250 cassettes). Currently, the band is previewing the LP with a widget called the "Jingletron" , where guests can insert a "Jingletoken" and hear random "jingles" from the album, accompanied by dancing from guitarist Ed Rodriguez and drawings by bassist/singer Satomi Matsuzaki. From October 11-13th, Yep Roc Records will celebrate its 15-year anniversary with a series of concert at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina. According to Billboard , the lineups feature artists from throughout the label's history, including Robyn Hitchock, Nick Lowe, Sloan, John Doe, Liam Finn, Los Straitjackets, Fountains of Wayne, Chock Prophet, The Sadies, and Cheyenne Marie Mize.
