How this band snuck under my radar yet again is beyond me, but I'm glad I stumbled across their new album today. It's titled Fast Forward, and it just came out this week on Fraction Discs, the band's Swedish label. Last time out, the band had support from Slumberland Records, but it's not like they'll need the extra love, as this album certainly speaks for itself. Liechtenstein - Ambitions För nästan tre år sedan släppte Liechtenstein skivan Survival Strategies in a Modern World. Nu, mer exakt 2 februari, är det dags för en ny som fått titeln Fast Forward. Den första singeln från skivan är Ambitions. Har man tidigare lyssnat på bandet kommer man känna igen sig, framför allt när det gäller sång men även det fina gitarrljudet har följt med. Och skivan blir nog sannolikt lika bra som den första.
Liechtenstein is one of my favourite bands, and it makes me so so so happy to hear that their new album, "fast forward" is out these days on Fraction Discs ! I've been mostly cut-off from the internet this week thanks to living in a pre-War building that has cable installed in ways McGuyver never would've attempted. (A vision of a SOPA future, perhaps.) Wallpaper stripes - Liechtenstein This is the sound of an ocean - a churning, heaving ocean. An ocean that meets nothing but rocks and cliffside, with a lone figure on top, all below reflecting all within. That's it to me. The way the verse loops around seemingly when it wants to. It sounds like it should have a Bonnie Tyler thunderstorm dubbed on to it. I am not sure where the wallpaper stripes fit into this vision, but one's stormy clifftop can be anywhere.

Le Liechtenstein stanno preparando il secondo album, uscita prevista per l'estate, ma intanto ci regalano un nuovo video e un nuovo singolo su Fraction Discs . In Meantime l'austerità della band svedese (nel frattempo divenuta un quintetto con l'ingresso di un chitarrista maschietto, ahi!) si fa in qualche modo più sbarazzina, tra battimani e addirittura un accenno di passi di danza.
