When I first heard Breathe Out a couple of years ago it felt like a revelation. Which, I'm sure they'll forgive me for saying, isn't really an expected reaction to the kind of music they make. Straight-up scuzzy, slightly mucky, DIY guitar pop is their thing and they do it relatively simply (albeit brilliantly) - but something about their self-titled EP just clicked for me.
