I've never heard of Roc-Child or Lil Chris but I am guessing they are from Chicago based on the beginning of the track. Whoever raps first goes hard as hell and sounds a little bit like Twista. Overall though this is a dope record/video. PREVIOUS: Video: Young Buck Ft. Tha City Paper – Go Loco

"Sugar rush to my brain" One from the vaults today... an ultra-rare track from alienhits favorite Lil' Chris. Chris has gone off the radar since releasing his half-new follow up album in 2008, which unfortunately didn't do so well. This track is taken from those sessions, and fits with the rest of his output as a bratty new wave pop/rock anthem (with a pretty suggestive title...). I've still got Chris's 2006 debut on heavy rotation, even if it is little more than throwaway teenage pop. It's easily my favorite teenage album of the past [...]

Lil' Chris - Big America "Everybody wants to be a big star" Lil' Chris's new album is finally out and it's a very strange animal indeed. I don't know what marketing genius decided that they'd rush out a cd with only six new tracks and then fill it with seven old ones from the last one and then call the package a "new album." It's more like an EP, I'd say. Plus there's the [...]
Yes it may be a tad passe at this point to cover Justin Timberlake 's Sexyback and for those negative Nancys that say 'Do we really need another cover of Sexyback?', on some level I couldnt agree more . That said today features the cream of Timberlake's crop top. The standout of today's pack hands down goes to Korean trio iM , who amazingly beatbox their way through the entire song, no instruments (unless you count the megaphone). Can't front, love Corinne Bailey Rae 's jazz lounge version. [...]
So Lil' Chris is some kid who was on the show "Rock School". Afterwards he put together a pop punk band and plays out under the name lil' chris or lil' emo chris. Everybody knows that I like what I like, no guilty pleasures here. I still jam to that Rufio album - "perhaps I suppose" and this lil' chris character is trying to bring a similar sound. Regardless he blatantly ripped off the buzzcocks for his second single "gettin enough". And I can't tell if I like it . Here's the video and [...]

I guess now the turkey is digested and there's a couple of days respite from the boozing, it's time to look back over the year and remember what made you dance like yr dad, what got you turning your radio up Lil Louis) into obscurity....?
Sexy Back's getting all the attentions it doesn't deserve. Despite being an overhyped, not-all-that comeback single, it still spent weeks on top of the charts, only to be replaced by 'My Love', and now it seems that every indie hipster have their take on it. Here are a few that I found: The Changes - Sexy Back (Live on WEEM) A tongue-in-cheek acoustic cover ditty from The Changes. You can even hear them chuckling during the performance. However, they did it good. Too bad it's only [...]

[shut off the music video that is playing four posts down] 8 1/2 weeks of mail for a single man who actively tries to minimize the amount of mail that I do receive. My friend asked me the other day about my pile of mail. He said, "Aren't you gonna open it?" He was perplexed that I have no desire too do so. I haven't looked at any of it since mid-august. Aside from the 5 bills I know about already, as they come every month, and aside [...]
