En ce mardi 10 avril, c'était la soirée des longues, grasses et chatoyantes chevelures, des mecs dans le public qui prennent leur corps pour une guitare et la tête de leur voisin de devant pour un fût de batterie, et à qui des mots simples comme « yeah », « whiskey » et autre « à poil » suffisent pour être heureux. Radio Moscow et James Leg s'accordent une tournée commune et, pour l'occasion, s'arrête à La Péniche de Lille. C'est complet, alors autant dire que ça va chauffer dans les bermudas.
Depuis hier le coup d'envoi du festival Les Paradis Artificiels est lancé. Jusqu'au 25 avril toute la métropole lilloise traverse une série de concerts avec sa 6ème édition qui poursuit son objectif d'établir un tour d'horizon des tendances musicales actuelles. Mercredi 25 avril, c'est à Tourcoing que les festivités se poursuivent avec à l'affiche le producteur multi-forme, DJ et fondateur du label Ghostly International, Matthew Dear . Lille, "Robert Cohn" (2010) find it on Tall Shoulders "Robert Cohn" reminds me a bit of Nina Nastasia's stark sound, but the brooding is less of the Tom Waits-style eccentricity found in Nastisia's music and more of the temporary melancholy of The Decemberists's quieter moments. It's a lovely song that feels a little strange to be posting on such a beautiful summer day, but put it in your pocket for a day when the skies get grey, and you'll have the perfect sound.
It just so happens that this was a remixin' kind of week.
