You won't ever see b3sci riding in a limousine. "Limousine" is the first single of Harlem rapper Ro Ransom's upcoming Ransomnia project. This is some serious heat right here. Brandun DeShay's beat is one of the freshest we've heard yet in 2012. The rhymes are 100% on point. We're stoked for Ransomnia . Ro Ransom ( Facebook ) Rating 8.4

For his debut single off of his upcoming Ransomnia, Ro Ransom links up with Mike Waxx & Mike Carson, providing an ill set of visuals for the Harlem native's "Limousine". The track is the very first that audiences get to hear from the album, but it comes after a steady push by the young artist, who had been dropping tracks weekly. I for one am very excited to hear Ransomnia and still can't get over the amount of talent coming out of New York these days, peep the video below.

Good things come in tens, not threes. At least that's the way I look at it. Yet, that statement makes this playlist title make even less since it's Vol. 1. and there are no others. Yes, we plan on making more. We wouldn't tease you with a Volume 1 and hold all of the rest back. That would be like Jay-Z coming out with In My Lifetime, then going dark on us. Not cool. We get it. We won't let you down. We'll start our Vol. 1 off strong. Our list holds up to its name too because [...]
If the lyrics to The Limousines' "The Future" don't get you thinking about...well, the future, the video sure will.
T he Limousines have developed a nice following over the years with their catchy as shit, synthy jams that contains all sorts of tongue in cheek lyrics. Brand new single, "The Future" continues this successful trend, and is a hit in the making. The duo got hold of a massive budget for this video, but did they really have to completely destroy (my favorite automobile of all time) the Delorean? I think it's fair to say these boys are not too optimistic about the oncoming world. As I just finished the spectacular end of the world film Melancholia, pessimism toward the future, seems [...]
![[VIDEO PREMIERE] The Limousines: The Future](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4044512_lg.jpg)
The Limousines track 'The Future' is the stark meeting of Shoe-gaze synth-pop and the macabre. Their first hit 'The Internet Killed The Video Star' briefly hints at this darker side, but 'The Future' lets it all out. The dark imagines and lyrics oddly hide a very positive and simple zen like outlook on life. "I wanna laugh as many times as I can before I die/I wanna love, I wanna smile; I don't need much, I'm a simple child/I wanna laugh as many times as I can before I die/I wanna love, I wanna smile, just wanna [...]

if you be my bodyguard i could be your long lost pal ♫ The Limousines - Call Me Al (Paul Simon Cover) The Limousines were in the pipeline for a post on their jam "Internet Killed The Video Star" (and it's fun video ) a few years back but somehow never made the cut. Leave it to a fun Paul Simon cover to get them back in the mix! Although, any excuse to resurrect this track is a good one. People [...]
The Sounds take LA's Wiltern with lovable electro-pop and overexcited fans.

I was able to sit in on an intimate acoustic set from our own SF band, Geographer as they played a few for The Neighborhood.TV and Noise Pop . The recording should be posted in the next few weeks (we'll be sure to post it here), however after their short set, they played a few new songs as well as a "never-to-be-released" song that was unnamed. Their new album should be out February 2012. Geographer [...]
Catch all the highlights from the last day of 2011's Voodoo Experience.
HOB was packed with people as alive as the zombies in their hit video, but that didn't stop The Limousines from showing Anaheim what they're all about.

Editor's Note: Like last year, we decided to have two writers go this year and provide two perspectives of this year's Outside Lands Music Festival. We have myself and local comic personality, Ivan Hernandez. So enjoy our little journey through San Francisco's largest and most popular music festival. IVAN : The 2011 Outside Lands festival was going to great by virtue of line-up alone. How many weekends could there ever be in which you could see The Black Keys, The Roots, Arcade Fire, Latyrx, and a host of other bands perform in Golden Gate Park? With [...]

At a time when dub artists have suddenly found their work considered passé, despite the genre's ever-increasing influence, Quasi Dub Development double down on the vitality of the form. Rather than getting into buzz saw bass wobbles and razor-sharp drum programming, QDD let it hang loose. This project is dominated by relaxed and creative horn sections. "A Rudder Flu" sets the tone with a spiralling horn/echo combo, which informs the listener that it's going to be a mellow, ambient journey. Indeed, drums, while certainly present, aren't a huge factor in this music; it's all pillow-y, non-aggro... Read More
