Dylan Von Wagner, lead singer of newcomers Linfinity, has one of those voices - a croon so distinctive and vibrant it just about demands your undivided attention. His vocals bring to mind Antony Hegarty at times and The Mimicking Birds (also new to the scene this year) at others, but there's really nothing just like it, and it sets Linfinity's debut, Martian's Bloom, apart. It's going to be a busy spring for NYC band Linfinity. On April 27th they release their debut full length album Maritan's Bloom. Following that they hit the road for an opening slot for Murder By Death. From what I've heard this is definitely a band you'll want to keep your ears open for. Using elements of punk, alt-county and classic Americana, Murder By Death has created a solid resume of creepy party music with plenty of cello. Though dark, they drift more towards a True Blood- sound than a Twilight- sound, always seeming like good country boys at heart. They even used a location in the Great Smokey Mountains to record their fifth full-length , Good Morning, Magpie . But these Bloomington, Indiana natives have set their aim beyond cult and local followings, and will launch a giant tour to support Magpie 's April 6th release. [...]

Though Linfinity have certainly made in-roads with the New York City scene, the band have never gone out on an official North American tour before. Well, all that is about to change starting at the end of March when the band take to the road with none other than Murder by Death . That should prove to be a pretty big boost for the American Myth-signed act.
