As heard on last Sunday's special post-DOMA all request edition of The Local Edge, Little Black Dress' latest 7" hit shelves yesterday. Mark has already been playing the A-side, slightly shoegazy but surprisingly faithful cover of Beach Boys' "Don't Worry Baby" on his show (check it out streaming below). The physical copies will have a limited run of 300, with the official release show coming Nov. 12 at Dada with Calhoun. =w=

Well here we are, digging back hard at it. Finding new music everywhere. Great fun and great stuff! The first three featured here hail from my old "stomping" grounds - Dallas, Tx. They are all on the wonderful Dallas based Idol Records Label. These guys churn out some excellent local bands and are a respected indie music label. Well Dallas, there are some solid shows going on this weekend, starting tonight with St. Vincent and Santigold. The problem is that St. Vincent is at Granada, the site of a truly terrible series of venue blunders by the Granada Theater last Monday night for the Grizzly Bear show.
