In the beginning of May, Little Boots will be releasing her Sophomore album Nocturnes , which features her latest song "Broken Record." This album will be released via Repeat Records and is a follow-up to her 2009 project, Hands .With her music she of course is mainly a pop singer, but adding in electronic, dance, to even some house elements all forms her great sound. Whilst Little Boots debut LP Hands hit the target more than it missed, when it missed it did so by some margin. Whoever decided that New in Town and the atrocious video that accompanied it was a wise move as a lead single needs (or needed) a thorough talking to. "Motorway"  was a wide open effort ready for a film soundtrack, but "Broken Record" is far more closed off and directive. Wound tight but filled to the brim with floor-filling bass and synth, "Broken Records" seems to ask the listener, "why aren't you dancing?" and then repeats the question with each iteration of its huge chorus. English electro-pop artist Victoria Hesketh, AKA Little Boots , has broken off another piece from her sophomore album, Nocturnes , due out May 7th via On Repeat. Like "Motorway" , "Broken Record" is another dance floor dazzler. Wasting no time, the cut spins hypnotically from the very start, effectively sucking everything in sight into its vortex of never-ending electronic energy. Synths are its main pulse and lifeline, throbbing and charging in the background, while bells toll majestically, as they usher in silky and seductively-sung lines like, "In my dreams, you belong to me".
