Sweeden's Little Dragon got their hands on everyone's favorite new Unknown Mortal Orchestra single, "Swim and Sleep (Like A Shark)," and made it it into a laid back house track, sampling the chorus of the song and playing it on loop for the first three minutes of the track before UMO fades to ambient noise behind the beat. Unknown Mortal Orchestra recorded "Swim and Sleep (Like A Shark," for a tour only released 7". The track which was featured on the A-Side and it's now been remixed by Little Dragon into a playful dance melody, stripping some of the original song's use of guitars and replacing them a new drum pattern. Unknown Mortal Orchestra milk their latest single "Swim And Sleep (Like A Shark)" today, with a lively new remix by indie peers Little Dragon . Filtering out much of the retro grit and replacing it with some modern-day house sensibility, this little jam is now fit for late night lounging. Unknown Mortal Orchestra's original "Swim And Sleep (Like A Shark)" is a mellow, sweetly gauzy pop track. The thing about sharks is that even when they're asleep, they are constantly moving forward — they don't ever stop moving onward — and that's what it sounds like when Little Dragon gets their hands on it. Instead of giving UMO's cut a new coat of paint, the band striped the track of almost all of its vocals, keeping a sliver of the hook and manipulating it into a house track that just slightly mirrors the guitar riffs of the original.
