But, it's working right now. So, here we go. This week in the blogoshpere : Discobelle.net Drops Flosstradamus ' 'Act A Fool' which is a mash up of Lil' Jon & their track 'Ravestradamus'. 1. Sunset Rubdown - Shut Up I am Dreaming I cried. There are parts of this album that envoke tears. Like "it's so beautiful" tears, fucking incredible. Hands down my pick for album of the year. Sunset Rubdown - Stadiums and Shrines II - Video Sunset Rubdown - Stadiums and Shrines II - MP3 ______________________________ ______________________________ ______________ 2. Hot Chip - The Warning Hot Chip plays electronic music without any electronic loops. Enough [...]
I didn't listen to a lot of music this past weekend. Most of the time I was sitting in my apartment watching Top Chef marathons, What Not To Wear (my roommate has given me this wonderful addiction) or countless cheesy movies while sniffling and coughing away. I was on a good amount of medication. If I sat in my room and just listened to music, I probably would have passed out. However, I am back and breathing fairly normally again, and it feels nice to be out in public. The only time I [...]
I would sit here and tell you all how rubbish getting my flat broken into was but that would just be dull. Instead lets get back to what I used to do, write about new British bands a lot and a little less about bands from elsewhere. This first post is a brief view of current listening, do enjoy. What I have been wondering mostly is why Los Campesinos have not been getting blogged to death the

I figured i'd start this Sunday morning off right with a healthy chunk of remixes that have been festering on this computer for the past couple of months. It's rare that I get a chance to post any music that's electronic related like this, so enjoy these. It amazes me at how rapid the pace of remixes get churned out onto the internet now a days. For a long time I would just turn a deaf ear towards any kind of remixes because the quality of them were so terrible, but this year has brought on [...]
Here are some MP3s from the best new bands we saw at CMJ this year. We are limiting this list...
Lo-Fi-Fnk @ Fontana's 11/3/2006 City / Adore / Wake Up / The End Lo-Fi-Fnk "City" - Lo-Fi-Fnk's fourth US show was in the basement venue of a bar called Fontana's, as part of the Brooklyn Vegan 's series of CMJ day shows. The group only played four songs, and unfortunately "What's On Your Mind?" and "Unighted" were not among them, but they were fun and adorable nonetheless. The three of them are in their [...]
![Lo-Fi-Fnk [Sweden]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/283302_lg.jpg)
Finally, one of our favourites, since the first posts were made to microlips, Lo-Fi-Fnk is going to play live in Estonia. Let's go to mutant disco! Steppin' Out (Juuso P's ballad version) [mp3] Steppin' Out (The two beauties from Hot Chip remix) [mp3]

Ever since WOXY came back on the air, that’s all I can listen to at work and yesterday I heard something that caught my attention. I'm pretty late to the game on this group (well I say that and the album isn't even released stateside yet-- it's a blogosphere buzz band for sure though ), but it's so good I had to post on it. Lo-Fi Fnk is an electronic pop group from Sweden. To me they sound like a mix between Daft Punk and Phoenix. These guys are young. They met in high school [...]
I've been loving Lo-Fi Fnk 's "Adore" since No Yeti Dance posted it back in June. The Swedish duo has been getting some hot press, mostly thanks to their hot tunes, remixes, and uhh Swedishness. I didn't even know they had an album out, but they do. It's called Boylife and it's out on Moshi Moshi Records (yeah original home of Hot Chip). Lo-Fi Fnk-Steppin' Out Speaking of Hot Chip, you can download their remix of Lo-Fi [...]

Chicago 40 Buffalo 7 Who needs defense when you have Rex Grossman chucking the ball all over creation?! Urlacher and the boys could've taken the week off. This Bears machine is still on a one-way path to the Super Bowl and Rex to the MVP. So, another sweaty, noisy weekend. Fabric had a cracking line-up, so I overcame my usual reservations and decided to pay a visit. It was, as always, insanely busy. Which did impede my enjoyment at times... but fortunately the music was so good that most of the time I wasn't too bothered about having 3 people standing on my feet and elbows in my back and ribs. Diplo was unbelievable in the
All in all last weekend was a bit of a mad one. First stop on Friday night was the ACTH night at the Camden Barfly, where Moshi Moshi artists Hot Club de Paris and Lo-Fi-Fnk played live upstairs hollerin'! Although I probably only saw half the set, they did play two of my favourite songs - 'City' and 'Wake Up' so I left happy! I so want that gorilla t-shirt. I've been listening to their
Anyone need any predictions made? I'm your man. Just cross my palm with silver and I'll get it completely wrong. If I was French i'd be very worried right now! I think Italy deserved that one though. They were definitely the better side, and attacked with uncharacteristic verve. I suspect this has something to do with the two countries' respective records in penalty shootouts. The Italians REALLY
