The festival's YouTube Channel will stream more than 60 artists playing Indio, including headliners Phoenix and Red Hot Chili Peppers along with the likes of Local Natives [pictured at the Satellite in October], How to Destroy Angels, Tegan and Sara, Alt-J, Vampire Weekend, the Postal Service, Tame Impala, Dinosaur Jr., Beach House, New Order, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Father John Misty, James Blake, Metric and Tame Impala. Notably missing from the [...]

I like to prepare for music festivals by giving every artist a listen. The great thing about Coachella is there are so many artists of all genres that I always come across something I've missed. There are a lot of acts I'm looking forward to that don't need any coverage: Phoenix, Local Natives, New Order, [...]

Around about a month ago, Delaware trio FIANCÉ all too fleetingly arose to the surfaces of our attentions with the intoxicating amalgam of electronic and organic that was the therefore inappositely entitled Division though back vying for that same attention, adoration, and all else below can now be found its follow-up in the again beguiling form of For Now. This time that bit more straight-up, the indubitable Local Natives influence sticks about though as the samples subsequently abate, their refined ear for a debonair melody lingering lonesome about the key of despondence becomes that bit more [...]

Given and Taken in Ink's mixes rarely have any thematic connection, other than genre and the time when most of the songs are released. So far the lone exception was our most popular mix on 8tracks, Sad Songs for Summer (2012) . And while it wasn't quite intentional, The Beginning of Spring works in much the same way (albeit not sad, and not summer...but you get the picture). Due to the whole birth-of-first-child thing, I haven't really had a chance to feature some of the big albums that were released in [...]

Incredible version of this amazing opening track "You & I", from their sophomore album Hummingbird . Don't miss out on when Local Natives come through Brisbane in May!
Local Natives took some time during their stop in Toronto, to record a session with Wood & Wires. They treated us to a stripped down rendition of 'You & I', from their new album 'Hummingbird', inside the parlour at The Phoenix Concert Theatre.

You know those bands. Their name latches on in your subconscious; sort of like a that foreign wad of sticky tape that magically appears under your shoe. I've seen Mt Warning's name turn up in various places - on gig posters and in several conversations with pals. I only really took a closer look when I saw their name appear again on the Field Day London lineup recently. They haven't had a proper release just yet...so better late than never I guess. Mt Warning are a five piece. I think they're [...]
