Man, doesn't it feel like you never watch music videos anymore? Everyone knows about the soul corroding rot of MTV , and then they created MTV2 , where the rot has since spread. This is currently the go-to soundtrack to our efforts to get our baby girl to go to sleep and stay asleep. A sad by-product is the fact that we are starting to get sick of a lot of these songs, some of which have been favorites forever and ever (we first got The Glove record around 1989 or 1990, for example). Despite releasing the new "Death to my hometown" EP recently, Logh has been keeping an extremely low profile as of late. Raising families, recording other bands, living life... just a few shows here and there, but mostly keeping quiet and out of the spotlight. Logh - prounounced log , according to the truth factory that is Wikipedia - is a Swedish sextet that makes music that is widely classified as post-rock. But... eh. Don't get me wrong, I love post-rock in all its forms, but Logh doesn't strike me as a band that's quite over that bridge. What they are is a band that's often quiet and slow-paced, usually hanging out around the piano and acoustic guitar. The vocals, which are a nearly constant presence, are confident but hushed at their loudest and barely whispered at their quietest. [...]

Last week, the Swedish post-rock/shoegazers in Logh released a very interesting new music video with some dreamy psychedelic animations that bring the song "Death To My Hometown" from their North album to even greater heights for its release on the iTunes exclusive Death to My Hometown EP. I've had this in my 'waiting' bank of mp3s for over a year, forever hovering over the move-back-to-general-populace button but never able to wean myself away.
