With over a decade of music behind them, Loquat is looking forward to a performance at Slim's in San Francisco on 7/28/12...and you could win a pair of tickets to the show.

Ve benim için bu renkle özdeşleşen şarkı The Smiths'den "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" dur. Sizde sevdiğiniz renklerle özdeşleşen şarkırınızı yorum olarak paylaşabilirsiniz.. The Lucksmiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out [...]
Loquat offer up a concise batch of engaging pop songs with their latest, We Could Be Arsonists . We Could Be Arsonists is Loquat's third album and it sounds exactly like it should. Throughout the record the band brims with confidence, plays to its strengths, and turns out one fantastic indie-pop tune after the next. This is bright, this is charming, and this is a more than welcome change of pace from the vast majority of attempted stabs at this genre. The only band that's pulled off the mix of genres Loquat emphasizes...

Long weekend, part I: ► The third annual Silver Lake Jubilee street festival goes off on Santa Monica Boulevard between Sunset and Hoover, with Kinky (pictured) and Autolux headlining the two main stages. They could be stars. Pretty, pretty pop that cover a wide range of topics, including space exploration ("Time Bending", monsters ("Monsters") and the infamy of criminals ("We Could Be Arsonists"). Vocalist Kylee Swenson Gordon leads this San Francisco quintet through 10 tracks with aplomb, understatement, and a coolness that's so cool it's hard to believe. Of particular note are the songs "Seeds", the dark bygone era pop of "Change of Scenery", and the closing "Up Late". The album's penultimate...
If you love female vocals, electronic, and fun....be sure to listen.
Loquat’s new video for “Timebending” frees the mind of worry while enlightening us on just how miniscule we all are in this giant plan.

The folks of Loquat are no stranger to the Bay Area music scene. The band's albums date back to 2003, and they performed one of the coveted local opener spots at the Treasure Island Music Festival back in 2008. And while Loquat have been laying low since then (the band's last album, Secrets of the Sea , came out in 2008), they've returned full-force, fresh off a stint at SXSW with a new album in tow. We Could Be Arsonists is out now via Nacional Records [...]

Make some new memories with Loquat this Wednesday, June 8th at Rickshaw Stop.
Loquat's music is a dreamy mix of intelligent, electronic pop, often infused with synthesizers, guitar, percussion and subdued atmospherics. The result is musically intoxicating and never superfluous or over-reaching. Read more
