It's not usually dubstep sound, but you can hear the similarities. Geyster are a duo consisting of French Gaël Benyamin and Swedish Pernilla Grönlund and together they make sweet and smooth 702s inspired funk/jazz/rock/disco/house. LLR takes A Change For The Better and does what he does best and turns it into a beautiful and full nu disco theme. Finally! It's been ages since I've heard a new song or a remix from French House extraordinaire. Well, this new remix of The Swiss' "Double or Nothing" brings back some of that action that I've been missing out on. Disco beats, thumping bass, four-on-the-floor beats, funky guitar strokes, keys and synths that enhance the original's vintage dance sounds. Much to my surprise, Louis La Roche's remix of The Swiss' new quirk-disco number is free to download from his Soundcloud. I would have liked to hear him do a bit more with it, but it's still got that sexy La Roche slap-thump. The Swiss are definitely positioned more towards the chin-stroking end of the scene, and I have to be in a particular musical mood to get into their tracks, but you can't deny that there is sheer genius happening in their sound. At fist you wonder whether the growling vocals work in a slick Disco setting, but the end up really doing just that.
