Viruses of varieties electronic and noxious are obviously inherently bad, while "going viral" may these days be perceived as innately excellent news for all involved. Whether or not Virals , the latest musical endeavour from Worcester's Shaun Hencher does indeed "go viral" or for that matter go on to infect many harddrives can at this point only be sketchily hypothesised. However what's instantaneously evident is that this newfangled project from the once-Lovvers man, and in particular Magic Happens, will surely see Hencher make a fair few more friends. Scheduled for release at the end of the month via [...]

In the world of new music blogging 24 hours is an eternity and this post is probably already out-dated. Fear Of Men yesterday announced a limited-run cassette release, featuring songs recorded with Henry from Lovvers. They also unveiled 'Doldrums' from that cassette, and, as you'd expect with that kind of musical cocktail, it is excellent. Not that you need to take my word for it - listen and download below. Oh, and they're also touring with Bos Angeles, which is a no-brainer, really. Fear Of Men - Doldrums [...]
The final Psychic Party mixtape is here already and it's a gem. Put together by Henry from Lovvers, it would be mean to deny your ears this tub of fun. Be at the Alibi tomorrow night for the big one, hijinks aplenty kick off at 9pm.
Ha, this is rather brilliant. Lovvers are a four piece band from Nottingham who sound as if they've been mainlining the Wire back catalogue. This is punchy, punky and more full of guitar riffs than a really riffy thing. Tremendous fun. Love it for its casual, nonchalant ugliness. I Want To (Go) can be found on their 2009 album OCD Go Go Go Girls . Lovvers - I Want To (Go) (alternate download)
Even if Sex Beet sent this cover around for no reason, I'd be happy to share it with you but it also comes with the most excellent news that Luke Lust and Jerry Tropicano are coming home from that desolate, barren Sweden. 'Dirty Boots' is obviously a pretty fucked up twist on Sonic Youth's original, [...]

So, I wanted to give the readers of GIMME TINNITUS a look into what gets posted at our supplemental blog, GIMME Tumblr . If you want to follow GIMME Tumblr , here is the rss feed (or you could just join Tumblr ). Listen. Downloadables: I Was Denied (mp3) by Thee Oh Sees (note: love it) [...]
Due to our being deep in the trenches to technological disorder, this much past due SXSW roundup comes, by modern standards, years past it's prime. But we here at All Our Noise still believe it is well worth your time to check out delectable tidbits from a handful of great performers. This is by no means a full overview of every important thing we saw, touched, and tasted in Austin, but rather a quick crosscut through the spectrum of sound. The complex spices of SXSW, make for the perfect sweet and savory experience, but here are a few sprinkles of note: [...]
I had originally headed over to Mohawk to see the Panache showcase starting with JEFF The Brotherhood, but alas, it was at capacity and I didn't get in until right after they played. Go JTB!! I was also super stoked to see the following act Lovvers , from the UK, a band I photographed during CMJ who totally stole my heart when they covered "King of The Surf." This time, however, they tore it up to a packed house and confirmed my suspicion that PUNK will always be king. The biggest surprise this South by, for me anyway, was [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours For the second straight year, Lovvers will be bringing their lo-fi punk rock to SXSW . Still jamming on tour after their October 2009 release 'OCD Go Go Go Girl,' Lovvers will attempt to play 12 shows in four days in Austin. Spinner recently spoke with the Nottingham, England band to see what makes them tick. How did you come up with your band name? It was kicking about for awhile [...]

UK's garage punks Lovvers kick off their Spring US tour on March 4th ending with performances at Austin, TX's SXSW Music Festival . The tour also takes in dates with Abe Vigoda, Male Bonding and The Vivian Girls . Although originally hailing from different parts of the UK, Lovvers formed whilst all four members were living in Nottingham in 2006. They are a strange mix of music's forgotten blank generation, re-calling the spirit of Darby Crashes' Germs, the weirdness of Flipper, Wipers-style [...]
