Polaroids From the Web Premio della critica? edition Dato che almeno due fra gli ascoltatori di Jamboree , giustamente, si aspettano di trovare anche su queste pagine la rubrica che ogni settimana va in onda all'interno del programma di Jonathan Clancy, e dato che qualcuno è stato così gentile da candidare il qui presente blog ai BlogAwards nella categoria "blog musicali" (anche se era stato più divertente vincere il Premio della Critica all'ultima edizione ), è il caso di darsi un po' da fare. - Su [...]

LATITUDE FESTIVAL - Abby Jitendra Latitude Festival was never going to be one of those musical events where avant garde, noisy, punk or hip-hop musicians played and Sparked Debate. Sigur Ros – Icelandic, slightly bland, atmospheric post rock – however, were perfect for the heaving masses. Friendly, awe-inspiring and 'nice'. [...]

On top of all of the bands I normally discover on the net, my inbox is constantly filled with great new music, so one of the ways I wanted to get some of those tunes out to everyone is this new feature which will run each Friday. It only makes sense to facilitate getting more music out your way! Lovvers : Hailing from Nottingham, UK, they have played with Blood On The Wall and xbxrx and cite Unwound, Rites of Spring and Skull Kontrol as influences. I'm [...]

I heard about Lovvers through the all knowing internet place, DrownedInSound , who raved about them with passion, similar to that of a fat person talking about dinner, and after listening to the tracks up on their myspace i can see why, coz they are tasty. Forming from the ashes of The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg, this Nottingham four-piece fuse blues and punk to awesome effects. Its angry, aggressive, frantic and quite often messy but there's an energy and an attitude behind the music thats so engrossing it takes over your body and before you know it, [...]
