Experimental dream-pop duo Low Sea will make their return in June with the release of their new album, Remote Viewing . The 11-song record will feature the track 'Starlight', which was co-produced by Stephen Hague - famous for his work on classics by New Order, The Petshop Boys and Siouxie And The Banshees. In the meantime, Low Sea have also recorded a tripped-out version of The Rolling Stones' 'Play With Fire':

Cafe Irlandaise is an alternative mix of female voices from Ireland and it's completely free to download! I think this is a superb compilation with a simple function to celebrate "the unique sounds coming out of Ireland at the moment .." . The ten tracks chosen for the compilation come from bands, duos and solo artists but all of them are sung by females. I've discovered some wonderful acts through this compilation as well as being delighted that [...]

Like any good remix, Low Sea keep the spirit of the original "Frequency" but alter the tone. It falls somewhere in between the lazy carelessness of the original and Uno's own sleek, but unnerving rework. An added sense of urgency purveys the mix, but its just enough make you want to dance, and not just twitch. Frequency (Low Sea Remix) by low_sea Listen to Frequency and Frequency II here .

Unouomedude has been a kid on our radar for a while now, his casual and natural reinvigoration of the slacker rock formula was, and still is, a much needed breath of fresh air. So far his music has been fairly untouched in terms of remixes. In a sense, it stands to reason; his music isn't exactly in a region that inspires a need for reinvention, after all it's doing most of that itself. But then in swooped Irish duo Low Sea who did their very best to prove me wrong. The [...]

I have now idea what is going on in Ireland at the moment they keep on putting out some of the most talented and interesting people on the music scene. 2011 is defiantly the year of the Irish from the likes of Moths, Sacred Animals, Solar Bears, P.A.L.A.S and know we have to add Low Sea to that continuously growing list of Irish musicians. Check them out and tell us what you think. Enjoy Save My Soul by low_sea [...]

Waves gently tickle my feet as I walk along the smooth wet sand. There are no footprints for miles. I am alone. The setting sun causes my eyes to squint while I try to make out the colors of the buoys in the distance. The low sea abandons much to be discovered along the shoreline. Iridescent light reflects off of broken shell surfaces, while inside, my heart aches. Ireland's Low Sea released a full-length and an EP this year. You can grab both on iTunes [...]

It's official. Summer is over. But the good news is, tons of great new music. Well we forgot to get him a cake but otherwise we reckon that State did Nialler92s fifth birthday celebration proud on Saturday night. Low Sea kicked it all off, playing only one of their first ever live shows and although there is still work to do, they grew into it as their set progressed. The influences are clear (not helped by what sounded suspiciously like a Mazzy Star cover) and they need a few more tunes, but the duo eased us into the night nicely. Squarehead , meanwhile, are fair running away with themselves. [...]

Thanks to everyone who came down to make the State vs Nialler9 gig such a great night. We had great sets from Low Sea , Squarehead and the special guests were of course, Adebisi Shank . Jennifer Gannon DJed after too. Kieran Frost took some photos of the bands. Karl was there and writes that Adebisi's performance "tore that shit down like the Berlin Wall", which they do on a regular basis. (-_-) [...]
