It must feel amazing to be Swedish. Seemingly every human from this great country has some incredible musical talent just waiting to come out. We bring this up as yet another fantastic Swede has us taking notice. Lowing ’s gorgeous “I Will Wait For You” (Everybody Wants To Be a Cowboy) shows proof that even a simply constructed song can be incredible. With a heavy dose of handclaps, an acoustic guitar and heartmelting vocals, as soon as you hear this voice, it becomes something special. Waiting for the one you love has never felt easier.
The truly amazing Low (one of me all time fave band) were doing truly wonderful things on Jools Holland earlier this week, via a performance of Waiting. The post Television's On The Blink appeared first on wotyougot .
For us Torontonians, I think this past long weekend was one of the best ones weatherwise we've ever had. Not a cloud in the sky and hot as eff. As I lay poolside with my girls, I was inspired to compile this mix - something chill and soulful with a touch of R&B. And why not throw in some Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar, AlunaGeorge and The Dream in for good measure? Sunglasses on, bikini tops off and volume up.
There I was, somewhere on the 134 heading West, trying in vain (again) to get all the way through The Invisible Way, when I started to wonder, "This is easily the WORST studio album Low has released, right? I mean…it has to be. What's worse than this?" And I drove, and I thought, and for [...]
Purism – that is exactly what comes to mind by looking at the cover of Collegium. All we see is a plain white canvas with just the record's title written across. One has to do some research first, to find out that this is the debut record of a swiss pop-collective called THE FAWN. Tropical vibes and deep house beats set the tone in Ben Pearce's new Le Youth re-imaging. Really into the build up, another solid reason to follow this up and coming UK producer.

Consistency. Something this planet's unpredictable climate and the Indie Dojo do not have common. 'Cause no matter if you are currently being slapped in face with an unbearable heatwave or you have ice tsunamis (yes, this is a real thing) knocking down your doors, you've always got that weekly playlist to bundle up to or in LA's case...get naked with. Hey...don't judge. It's f'n hot.

There's something so pure and fresh about Swedish music. I know I say it time and time again but they really have nailed the perfect song writing formula. Having recently signed to Dutch label 'Goomah Music' Lowing looks set to have a bright future ahead of him. With an upbeat charm running through the heart of his music accompanied by glossy tones that overlap and flow between each of the intricate layers of guitar you can't help but fall in love with this wonderful sound. With a debut album due in the Autumn we'll [...]
Words by Lee Adcock About a year ago, London-based folk outfit Low Moon Low emerged on Soundcloud with a dreamy, shimmering piece called Slow Train . Four months later, they unveiled another golden track, Fever , that bubbled with energy and attack while still retaining a gentle charm. Both songs sounded genuinely fresh and promising – but Low Moon Low sank into the horizon, and remained silent for the rest of 2012. Fortunately these capable artists are finally releasing an official single, Calm Now . Don’t let the title [...]

Robert Semmer On the list of ideal days on which to announce a tour itinerary, there's not many occasions better than the day the album you're actually going to promote goes on sale. And so yesterday, with the official release of their latest full-length Monomania , Atlanta's Deerhunter have announced the itinerary for their Fall tour behind it. It's an outing that brings them to The Phoenix in Toronto on September 12, and that leg of the tour also includes support from Marnie Stern , who herself released [...]

So this is a dream-team spectacular. Hot Natured are already a cast of stars and then D.C. based super duo, Benoit & Sergio, have decided they want in on the fun too. The song in question you ask? Oh, just my favorite tune of the last month and probably one of the top rotated tracks of the moment, 'Reverse Skydiving' featuring the talented and sexy as Anabel Englund. The D.C. lads have stretched out the song to about 7 minutes which gives them plenty of time to infuse their daytime deep disco sound. MMMMHHMMMMM!
photo by Dave Estep ( view set ) If KEXP had a Five-Timers Club , Low would now be one of its key members. The long-running Duluth, Minnesota trio has been a KEXP favorite for the better part of the last 15 years, and while the trio was out in the Northwest promoting their tenth (!) full-length, The Invisible Way , they stopped by KEXP's studios for their fifth in-studio session. Alan Sparhawk, Mimi Parker, and Steve Garrington have aged into their minimalist, echoing arrangements, but the [...]

When it comes to more upbeat deep house, Xinobi is most likely my favorite producer. He walks a pretty cool line between disco and deep house that most people have a hard time replicating. "For his latest release Xinobi drops two brand new tracks, kicking off with the excellent ‘Puma’, a classic House inspired cut that fuses an old school organ line with shuffling percussion and hooky vocal samples to great effect. On the flip, things go a little deeper with the melodic and laidback ‘Woods’ journeying into atmospheric and hypnotic territory with its mix of ethereal pads [...]

I know yoga is supposed to be in silence, but I always wonder what music would accompany my practice. Maybe some XX, James Blake and Bon Iver? I hope this playlist let's you tune out the outside world and brings you some inner peace. So press play and 'Namaste'.

ARTIST: Low - [Album] with free mp3 downloads for 'So Blue' and 'Just Make It Stop' from The Invisible Way by Low DATE: 04-27-13 REVIEW BY: Bill Adams In the early twentieth century, a few very bold writers (including Earnest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald) attempted to illustrate in their writing that there is no hell worse than the drudgery of modern life. It's easy to understand why those writers were preoccupied with such a bleak view; the sense of adventure which came with [...]

Big guns return down south... Alan Sparhawk and Michael Gira return to Cork for a hectic few days on Caroline Street as both Low (19th August) and Swans (16th August) return to Cyprus Avenue . Low 's performance last year was nothing short of exceptional ( recap here ) whilst similar reviews rained in following Swans appearance on Leeside so expect both shows to sell pretty lively once tickets go onsale. Dublin dates will be sorted promptly [...]
