This song has been blowing the Low End Theory to smithereens for at least a month. Play it loud enough and duck. Props forever due to those foghorn " Down Bottom " brass. Judging by how close HudMo has been getting to the G.O.O.D. For anybody looking to move a little bit, I don't think you're going to beat this release from these two today. There's so much going on during this 3 minutes and 20 seconds - it's hard to focus on one particular element. All I know is that it makes me want to move in anyway possible. Seriously, who the f*ck needs vowels anymore? TNGHT is the talented production duo of the now-familiar Lunice and Scottish DJ Hudson Mohawk , who together are releasing a 6-track EP of intrigue on July 23/24 ( pre-order here ), and also crafting a sound previously unheard to stateside ears. "Higher Ground" takes on some British grime along with some house and hip hop influences for a beat you could imagine in a variety of club settings, or behind some hard-spitting verses. Warp just hooked us up with a video for "Higher Ground", which another new track from TNGHT 's forthcoming EP. The tune was also featured in their 60-minute mix for Diplo earlier this week, and its hard synthesis of signature Hud Mo horn blasts and raucous dancehall rhythms signal a new step in forward-thinking production. Let's get one thing straight: Next week, There is no release I'm looking forward to reviewing more than the new TNGHT EP. The EP is self-titled and will be out on Warp Records. Complètement barge, c'est comment je qualifierai le live/set de TNGHT à Dour. L'une de mes plus grosses attentes sur le Festival c'est transformé en la plus grosse claque. Son Raw don't like your kind, you a bougie hoe. Lunice and Hudson Mohawke have apparently had enough of canny interlopers borrowing bits and pieces of their swag for the purpose of multi-million dollar rap hits.
