Lydia dropped this Christmas Cover on iTunes yesterday . Thanks to WWM for directing me to the stream. Despite the elementary artwork, the song delivery is airy and delicate, topped off with Leighton Antleman's signature croon. It's just what you'd come to expect from these guys.
Today's song is "Hailey" by Lydia . This is off the band's album Paint It Golden , which came out last month. Leighton Antelman started Lydia in 2003, and after years of growth, experimentation, and discovery, they were finally ready to release their first record. When it comes to female singers, I have always favored the duet; Porter and Dolly, George and Tammy, Gram and Emmylou, John and Exene.
